This is Channel Four, the new national television service broadcasting through the transmitters of the Independent Broadcasting Authority. Channel Four starts today at 4:45 offering a variety of new and interesting programmes, seven days a week.

Did telly used to be mostly ok then went mostly shit?
So many programs now seem to revolve around 'let's watch humans while they do various stuff'.

TV used to be great, we had childrens hour, and it was an hour too, Then at midnight it would shut down until about 4 o'clock the next day.
The kids programmes were all made by hippies, my generation is fucked..........

I was very young when they started out, but I believe that they used to. This is a programme they made about pirate radio in 1982:



I couldn't vouch for the rest out of their output at that time, but I bet they didn't have anything like putting a camera in the toilet of a nightclub.
