I've moved flats recently, and I had to get a BT connection, which I said I'd never do for moral reasons owing to previous fuck ups from them, but, firstly, I had no choice if I wanted a phone line, as they would never have turned the bloody thing on otherwise, and, secondly, they are arguably the best choice of a bad bunch with Virgin being actively involved in the privatisation of the NHS, and Sky being, well, Sky, and I knew someone who worked for Talk Talk, and, let's just say they didn't have too many positive things to say about them.

Anyway, I did an Internet Speed Test after getting the BT Infinity thing, and, despite the fact that in principle I despise BT, despite their incredibly irritating and borderline misandric advertising campaign, my internet speed has gone through the roof:

At home unfortunately all I have is this crappy dsl from leprechaun telecom [tm].

Advertised as 24 down 1up ulimited in capital letters all across the page, you actually get 10meg down 512k up and 250gb per month cap.

That said I remember using a 1200baud modem :/
Man pr0n was terrible back then, especially when you waited 10 minutes for the jpeg to load only to find to your horror it was a ladyboy!!! Oh nooooesss!!!

I've also moved recently wub....I was offered infinity at my last address, but was just preparing to move so couldn't take them up on the offer.

I am still with BT and my result was abysmal compared to yours.....
