Especially when we use no dodgy cookies and virtually no third party ones except for required ones like youtube and some social networks which we need to allow for functionality and user experience. The law should have been implemented in such away that the management off cookies would be managed by the browser. The settings already exist if people were educated in setting up their browser - additional extensions can be used to enhance that control. Instead every EU site is required to have an intrusive notice! Most visitors need to accept cookies because most modern websites require cookies to function correctly and assist their users. It would have made more sense to require the browser developers to implement a feature to do the blocking locally for EU users. If that were the case the law could have been applied by a handful of browser applications, rather than millions of individual sites. It would also empower the user and give them direct control over the way they brows the web. Of course that would be much to easy and wouldn't offer the same opportunities to raise funds through fining site owners, while intruding on the users browsing experience. Win Win for the EU fascist state.

Apologies for this being a little off-topic, and I'm almost afeared to raise this - but the other day, I went onto that forum purely to observe a mischievous member here posting some naughtiness there.

Ever since then, by lap-top's been playing up - freezing & timing me out etc. Now it used to do that same thing constantly when I was a member of that forum.

So, since I'm thick as pig-poop re technology, I just wondered whether some kind intellectual here can tell me if that's got something to do with that site's cookies or something?

Whenever I go onto Ickes headline news site, then click off it freezes the PC for a minute, annoys the shit out of me, so I dont go there very often.

Yet my cookie blocker says there is only 4 cookies on the icke site.
