Dave Hurban, a Dynasty Tattoo artist from Newfield, N.J., surgically implanted four magnets into his wrist. Why? Basically, it's a cool (or at least unique) way to hold his iPod Nano in place without a pesky wristband.

"Back in March, it was revealed that Nokia has issued patents for "vibrating tattoos," which could be permanently attached to a person's body and used to alert them when they were receiving a phone call or text message."

Oh my god :facepalm: what moron would want that?

Indications that you might be a consumer whore...

You modify your body to accommodate a proprietary electronic device that's obsolete in six months; A device that's made in countries with deplorable working and living conditions that employs children for cents on the hour.

Life mission accomplished.
Form is merely a momentary manifestation of being, not a fixed reality.

History doesn't repeat itself, uninformed people repeat history.

To all progressive endeavors great or small, come unforeseen benefits on a scale larger than most give pause or contemplation of.

Is it just me that hopes;

The next nano released is too small to fit his magnets?

The magnets trash the unit and his warranty?

He fries the chip on his credit card, preventing him buying stupid shit for a pose?

The magnets are probably rather weak, like the people getting them implanted into their bodies.... :chuckle:

I'm extremely suspicious of this 'story', as I am of most news articles.

Firstly, I find it hard to believe that a lover of said technology wouldn't have thought long and hard about some of the points you have raised before undergoing surgery.

Secondly, this is big business we're talking about. Who has more 'influence' over msm than big business? Certainly not ordinary people...

Thirdly - what are we now all talking about?
