Not much we can do unless we move. The host SZ is with also has a USA datacenter, (SZ is on a UK datacenter)... the US one doenst seem to be getting attacked... something to think about as i think its quite easy for them to put the site on that datacenter.

Is uk56 just a single box, if so can we be moved to a different uk box perhaps?

Ok guys report any errors you happen to find/encounter here.

Theres been some issues with the server move, which was done by innohost due to the severity of the ddos attack.

However innohost have gone out of their way to help me get the site ironed out just now, which is above and beyond their requirements as hosts.

A new server meant that some previously working plug ins would now conflict... the techs at inno pointed me in the right direction.

yes i thought the same when revisiting this thread.

im still finding things wrong, the sites just got going... its a matter of turning plug ins off at this point, the ones causing issues.

Oh and when i turn some on again to try em things might drop out, some are needed to make things look presentable, but will stay off if causing issues.

Any new thread, even if started in a sub-forum, seems to be pointed towards 'Case Files' unless redirected.

btw if anyone is seeing double on the home page, its because there is a template plug in that needs to be off. If i turn it on, the forum dies. its conflcting.

idk if anyone remembers this, but the joomla template used here, (the world news II from gavick www.gavick.com/joomla-templates/the-world-news-2,74.html ) was a free version, and no updates or support from them is available. If they get 99 euro, its lifetime membership and updates plus support. Until then we will be seeing double for a while unless i figure it out myself one of these days, right now i cant.

If that's the only visible glitch after all this I'd consider that a win result mate.

some of the modules that used to be at the foot of the forum, bottom of page, had to be turned off. The donations total for one, there were some others also.

They are conflicting and making the forum not work, will have to stay off until they can be sorted out.
