I know, I know ..........

But considering that all the high ideals and aspirations have fallen well short of their targets I am once again asking for the ignore option to be made available.

No-one would be under any compulsion to use it but it may, just may, halt the escalation of some differences into full blown vendettas.
Please give it serious consideration.

I have set the poll to run for 1 week until next Tuesday to give a reasonable period of time for responses..

The problem I have with an ignore button is that those of us that aint clicked it could still see the crap.

Oh for some kind of epiphany where we stop embroiling ourselves in pointless and negative crap like waging internet war on eachother.

This said, I'm up for any idea that keeps the boards freer of ego squabble

I wouldn't use it... even people I've not liked have posted something interesting or funny at some point - even Bendoon has posted some of the most hilarious things I've ever read.... such as thinking that people should have to ask permission to visit other areas.

I think people should have the option though so I vote yes.

It's not something I'd ever use myself but if other people really want it then I'll give it a yes.

As ive said elsewhere, the option doesnt actuall exist as such in Kunena, it was something id have to chase up over there as it was brought up by others.

So even if the poll is a landslide...

The point might be moot but I think the ignore feature is rather negative. I think people should be able to practice restraint and tolerance towards each other and if that fails then ignore is a feature we all have built into ourselves. I would also prefer to see people overcoming the reasons that they have for wishing to ignore each other. It seems if people get to that point the user will be banned anyway.
