Hotel worker killed two, hid in room for two days

A British hotel employee killed a co-worker and the victim's girlfriend and then hid inside a bed divan for two days while police where in the room investigating the crime, a court has been told.
Attila Ban, 32, stabbed 20-year-old Tibor Vass then killed the victim's girlfriend, Alice Adams, also 20.
Ban denies murdering the pair but has admitted manslaughter, saying he was mentally ill at the time.
Prosecutor Richard Whittam told the Old Bailey that when Ban was finally discovered "it became apparent that he had been hiding in the divan base of the double bed".
"He must have been there throughout the attendance of the pathologist, the removal of the bodies and the examination of the scene by crime scene examiners.
"He had enough presence of mind to have concealed himself effectively and to remain undetected throughout the time they were in the premises," Britain's Daily Mail newspaper reported.
The court was told that after killing Mr Vass, Ban cut the victim's clothes and then left him naked and posed on a double bed in the flat they shared, the court was told.
Ban then crawled into the bed's divan base, where he hid for two days.
Ban, who is openly gay, had been jealous about Mr Vass' relationships, the Daily Mail report.
He was also upset at learning that Mr Vass had been accepted on a university course in their native Hungary.
Ban killed the pair after a party at the flat they shared that was owned by the Radisson Edwardian Hotel at Heathrow Airport, there Ban and Mr Vass worked.
Police were alerted when all three failed to turn up for work the next day and discovered the bodies when they arrived at the flat.
Ban was not discovered until two days later. he was found lying naked on a bed. He had tried to cut his wrists with modelling knives and electrocute himself with a hairdryer in the bath, the Daily Mail reported.
