Interesting about Switzerland.

Also this;

Despite the lack of rigid gun laws, firearms are strictly connected to a sense of collective responsibility.

From an early age Swiss men and women associate weaponry with being called to defend their country.

I would think the majority of gun owning Americans would share the same ethos.

Switzerland is where TPTB hide all their loot isn't it,Of course the worlds rulers will keep countries like Switzerland stable but also arm their citizens like a lord has gamekeepers on his estate, didn't you learn anything from what went on with Switzerland during and after world war II.

Defend their country from what? The American government/MIC is the most aggressive country/company of the modern era,i mean where haven't they invaded in one way or another, keeping guns with the excuse that another country might invade is a poor excuse when America have a military force that is capable of doing the job of defending America.

America's military force is capable of doing the job of attacking America as well humanspirit...It's that whole world army/NWO thing that Icke and others talked about..."why would we need a world army? There'd be no-one to fight"...

Like I said though, I have very very limited knowledge about WW2, politics, police state. Most of the info I've picked up is from forums, youtube vids, etc.

Oh yeah and a lot of my conclusions and insights, whatever are from pure logical reasoning and rationale :D

That's not my excuse. I'm more concerned about defending myself against my own government, rapists, thugs, ect. I'm not committing crimes with guns so it shouldn't be a problem for me to own them.

It would be hard to make that thread even though it's Americas greatest current problem.

I have coached high school basketball for the last 5 years and tried my best to help black kids in the ghetto.

Yet how can I make such a thread and not have it sound racist?

Nah,just don't make the guns in the first place and educate people instead.

The military industrial complex runs America and Americans who buy guns are their bitches  .Guns don't empower you, legal rights empower you and freedoms that are beneficial to individuals and society as a whole.

I agree without a doubt that is the only way to heal the world and should be the focus of the truth movement.

That would be all well and good if the police state turned over their guns as well. The police force in America seems to be becoming more and more militarised. It would seem the only thing getting in the way of the police state holding the American people under seige is the right to bear arms.
I don't know enough about the issue and all the politics tbh, I tend to stay clear of all that :D I'm just telling it how I see it, from my limited knowledge.
Don't Canadians have the right to bear arms as well? Do most Canadians own guns? If that's true, why aren't there loads of shootings in Canada? Unless there are :D It seems to be an American phenomenon. I saw a doc years ago and it said Canadians own guns.

But the police are humans just like us and America is not the only place with guns.

This is what I don't understand about current gun legislation and the way it is being highlighted in these cases.

If you're of a mind to do such a thing in the first place, you will find a way of procuring said firearms and doing it, regardless of what the law says or tries to limit you to.

It's quite simple, really. Ain't it? :dunno:

Until such a time as there is no 'them' and 'us', even though that divide may be imaginary, I'd rather we all had access to a deterrent, even if that means a firearm. Heaven forfend we should ever find ourselves in the position where those we give our power away to are the only fuckers left with 'em.

why would we need a world army? There’d be no-one to fight

Yes there would, insurgents, dissenters and 'trouble-makers'.

Pockets of resistance, threatening the 'order,' must be snuffed out speedily and efficiently before their flickering little flame spreads and burns down the empire.

I believe that the average person standing up to oppressive authority, armed with their glock, shotgun, hunting rifle or whatever is a fine heart-stirring, romantic image and great sales tool for the NRA and it's investors.

The reality is though that the authority will respond with satellite, drone and thermal imaging to pinpoint you, prior to sending in heavily armoured and weaponised, trained combatants to frag your 'domestic terrorist' ass.

I don't know the answer, but I can recognize the issue(s); Over population? Banksters? Processed foods? Environmental toxins lingering such as DDT and others? The hollow promise of an 'instant society'? The collapse of a false economy due to the death of the gold standard, meaning the floating economy? The Japanese? The Chinese? Nixon? If it feels right, do it?

I really don't know.

My boomer parents have always been frustrated that things don't happen instantly as they were promised, Life gets in the way like that.

Edit: But I never felt the desire to commit atrocities, just sayin'.

I, myself, can be sent off kilter when the power goes out for 24 hours and I lived in hurricane country for 41 years; Rolling blackouts and water boil notices bug me, too.

In Britain, we can have pea-shooters and cross-bows (as long as we don't fire them at anybody) to defend ourselves with. These will be very handy if the villains at the helm ever decide to turn their wonderful, technologically advanced weapons against us. We'll pull out our toys, and they'll become debilitated with laughter giving us the opportunity to seize the initiative.

And the simple way to 'deal with' our bretheren in the USA, will be to dress them in straight-jackets and secure, padded accommodation, it seems.

Mainstream Doctors Say Supporting the 2nd Amendment is a Mental Disorder
August 14, 2012

Susanne Posel
Occupy Corporatism

The medical industry in conjunction with Big Pharma want to classify the right to keep and bear arms as a mental disorder in another power grab to circumvent and eventually destroy our Constitutional 2nd Amendment.

More and more doctors are forcing the idea that we need a national healthcare approach to the problem that the recent shootings provide. While tobacco and alcohol is regulated, why not include the right to bear arms?

Dr. Garen Wintemute, professor of emergency medicine at the Prevention Research Program speaking about the installing of public guardrails, said : “People used to spear themselves and we blamed the drivers for that.”

Dr. Stephen Hargarten of the Research Center at the Medical College of Wisconsin claims : “What I’m struggling with is: Is this the new social norm? This is what we’re going to have to live with if we have more personal access to firearms. We have a public health issue to discuss. Do we wait for the next outbreak or is there something we can do to prevent it.

I take the point they'd probably be next to useless, but I have to ask...why all the fuss, then?

I stand by my reasoning that someone who wants a gun will get one, no matter what the law says. Same here in the UK...evidently.

I suppose guns would be useless up against the military; what with all their tanks, grenades, ect. But I guess it just all depends on how it "goes down", if and when it "goes down". :shtf:

I guess when I think of some major shit going down, my mind flashes to Twilight Zone episodes where it's your neighbors you have to worry about. Even as big as the military is, I like to think that some people would still have a fighting chance. There's still more of us than them(if only we could get along & work together). If I'm being honest with myself, I'd probably get killed! :hahano: But, who knows, maybe not.

In the meantime, it doesn't matter if I don't have a fighting chance against the government...I'll still shoot anybody who tries to harm me or anyone I love(or any innocent person for that matter). And if it did come down to fighting against Big Brother's minions, I'd still like to go out shooting and at least try to take some down with me! :ar:

Upon that notion, it is said, the Japanese did not wish to attack mainland USA.

It is rumored (rumoured) that they supposed mainland USA, via movies and reputation, had too many weapons in the hands of private citizens to attempt an invasion.

I'm not saying this is true, I am saying this is what I have heard all my life.
