I love this, and often make a point of playing it in the car, quite loudly, with the window rolled down, when collecting daughter from her friends' homes.

*Edit* - am referring to Duelling Banjos.

You are on post number 1898. The year Pompey were formed. You now owe it to the struggle to keep one of the most excellent footy teams ever alive, to never post again and leave your post total there...

Recently I had the tune 'I know him so well' by Elaine Paige & Barbara Dickson stuck in my head for about 3 weeks. This was after seeing two of the fucking Spice Girls doing a cover of it on afternoon brainwash TV. Every night going to bed, during sleep, and the first thing I thought of when waking up was this fucking awful, turgid, 80s naff tune.

i remember some girl who got radio stations in her head, cos she had metal fillings and it picked it up somehow.

this old lady sounds like she needs to go to some young kids concert and get her ears blasted out by KISS or ozzy.

Could she tune into different channels by twiddling with her molars? :O

That would have been the worst thing ever if it was stuck on Simon Bates 'My Tune' thingy. Non-stop tear-jerkers with Batesy trying to sound poignant and sympathetic. :umm:

i think the more people try to be sincere the less sincere it is. so to be the most sincere, just dont bother trying. right??

Right. Sincerity shouldn't have to be strived for, should it - it should just 'be'.

Terry had loved June since they were at playgroup. He'd followed her around hoping to help her when she dropped her satchel at primary school, sat behind her in as many classes as he could at high school, so that he could take in the heady aroma of her Harmony hair spray. In adult life he'd taken up a position in the stationary department of John Mckenzies having learned that she was supervisor in the neighbouring cassettes and long players section. Three years had passed with Terry's shyness blocking him from asking her out. He gazed at her across the foolscap paper stand, longing for her to come across and ask him if she could borrow the stapler. Finally, one Chrimbo party, Terry, having consumed half a bottle of Martini and a babycham, plucked up the dutch courage to make his move. He stumbled over to her, knocking the cheese fondue from the central table and stood behind her.
"June" he whispered.
She didn't respond as Tom Goode, the supervisor of the reference section was holding her attention with chit chat about the possibility of reorganizing the heavy rock cassettes alphanumerically.
"JUNE" Terry repeated, this time much louder.
June twirled round, shocked by the sonic boom that hit the back of her head.
"What?"
"W.....W.....Would you like.....t....t.....to come to the disco at the village hall with me next friday?"
"Fuck off you little creep, you've been following me around all my life. If you come near me again I'll get my brothers to beat the living shit out of you, you get me!!!"

Nearly worked!
No matter what I listened to that stupid tune kept creeping back in. It's gone now, after having to listen to a cover version of "Sweet Disposition' by The Temper Trap which I had to listen to about 200 times while mixing it.

Jeez! Two years every day... That must be what hell is made of...

I've been hearing christmas carols in my head for two months and I feel like suffocating to it.. But that's because in my workplace, in nearly every room there's a fucking radio on, each on different channel and all of them have ben playing all those disgusting christmas carols since autumn. It's very frustrating.

I have to listen to a lot of music, too much, when making it... Paying attention to the details of the mix, how correctly it's played/sung and stuff has ruined music for me quite extensively, forced listening of christmas carols is torment for me, I feel sorry for this old lady, she must be in pain with the constant music in her head. :(
