I have this so sort of know what the person mentioned in the OP in experiencing.

It doesn't happen so much now (and I sort of miss it in a way) but I used to get a Welsh male voice choir (singing in welsh so I had no clue what they were singing about), and a few random , what can only be described as heavy metal songs playing in my head when I was falling aslepp

I spoke to my doctor and they said it is quite common

Treat music and sounds the same way you would treat visual images, smells and even food.

Mickey it's not always that simple.

My brain hasn't processed a Welsh Men Choir which who I heard it for six months ........what you hear as an auditory hallucinations are very strange and an points quite confusing ....and really don't have the slightest thing to do with music you either know or like

It's an odd 'happening' ....I for one can;t explain why it happens
