It's fucking shite - waste of shit loads of money & won't be ready for 20 fucking years - the technology is already out of date.

Theres nothing wrong with trains, they can be damn good, the UK has neglected them for a long time and been pissed on by most of europe when it comes to train travel.
Ireland underwent the same downgrade of its rail too, its a shame tbh, now they're slow unreliable and don't go anywhere near where yoou want to go most of the time and especially not at the times you need them to go.

The london underground is good but thats the exception tbh.

I think they will be used to move people on mass quickly to work camps in the near future.

The people in power are dismantling benefits for many sick people and putting them on job seekers allowance,soon they will be only eligible to claim job seekers allowance for a maximum of a year and then nothing.
Unless there is a miraculous change in the job market and many peoples health,there will be lots of homeless people with no income making the place look scruffy and committing petty crime to survive.

The fascist in power will ship these people on mass to somewhere out of the way.

Wasn't the autobahn created all across Germany just before the second world war,did they improve their rail network?
