I've been talking about population decline for yonks as have many learned men who have seen the facts.
Its ironic that the media have been trying to give the exact opposite impression.

Need someone/something to blame for all your rampant capitalist endeavours? No problem, blame the proles.

The momentum will still force population higher yet but it will peak around 2040-2050 and thereafter sharply decline. We will also have to deal with a top heavy population of retired people who will need pensions......all well known by the top, all planned for.

Its good that people should have skills, but skills come in more forms than just craftworking. There are modern skills that are useful too, indeed essential if you wish to maintain the way of life we are used to.
I would simply encourage people to adapt and learn as much as they can to suit whatever situation they find themselves in, its the human thing to do
