Disgraced former football manager Ron Atkinson was caught up in a new race storm last night - after joking about Muslim women who wear burkas.

Big Ron caused outrage as a contestant on Celebrity Big Brother, telling a housemate: "You're not carrying a bomb wearing that towel on your head are you?" The former Man Utd and Aston Villa boss made the remark to Irish reality TV star Danielle Marr and was given a formal warning on the Channel 5 show.





Aye, he learned his lesson eh... national TV this time around :facepalm:

I have to admit that I'm slightly disappointed that he turned out to be a flagrant racist as I much preferred him on the football to Andy "sound excited all the time whatever is happening" Townsend. But ultimately, unfortunately, he's an idiot.
