For years I have kept this to myself; a damaged individual, bottling it all up inside. But now that others have spoken out I’ve found an inner strength, a sort of resolve.
Several times during the 1970s I was the victim of serial sexual assaults by BBC stars who are now dead. On one occasion I was violated, in the space of ten minutes, by Morecambe and Wise, Ronnie Barker, Sir Kenneth Clark (of “Civilisation” fame) and Eric Sykes. I was tied to a bed in a BBC dressing room and one by one they came in and practised their vile depravities upon my young body. The ringleader was Hattie Jacques, who sat on a chair in the room and, devouring a box of chocolates, encouraged her fellow stars, laughing and clapping and also ‘getting her rocks off’. On another occasion I was touched in my private area by several daleks who had invited me to see a recording of Dr Who. With those sucker type things they have. But that wasn’t as bad as the stuff with Morecambe and Wise. I will never forget that: my head pressed into the cushion and Ernie on top of me, whispering in a sinister manner in my ear, in time with his brutal thrusting: “Bring me sunshine. In your smile. Bring me laughter. All the while.”
They are all dead now so sadly cannot be brought to justice. But it is a relief for me to be able to share this with you now, and also with my lawyer who will be contacting the BBC tomorrow morning, sharp.
Can I just check..........
People do realise that is supposed to be a satirical piece eh?
Crap, bad taste, etc for sure, but satirical.
NO I didn't see any satire in that. If it is so, with all the drama of paedophilia going on,
I would find it of bad taste of who wrote it.
So it's just me who sees he's trying to have a dig at those who may be simply pulling any allegation out about any dead celeb in order that they may jump on the compensation from the BBC bandwagon?
Understand my stance on this stuff please.
I want to see those responsible for child abuse held accountable for their actions.
I want them thoroughly investigated, tried and convicted.
If they profited in any way, I want their assets stripped and the proceeds allocated to supporting abused children and they adults they become.
I do not want to see perpetrator after perpetrator walk free because of technical legal glitches and claims that they were being prejudiced and therefore denied a fair trial because someone wrote some bollocks on a website.
I also do not want to see perfectly innocent individuals destroyed because processes and cautions of law were swept aside for someone's desire for momentary notoriety on a website.
I will never defend paedophiles, I have worked with some of their victims and I'm also a father to two lovely kids.
Trust me, I get the 'hang 'em high' stuff. I also get that we also have to guard those who may be falsely accused or exploited for profit.
I'm trying to defend actual justice here.
Edit:
I'm aware how ridiculously grandoise that last sentence sounds but if people think that they best serve the kids needs by lobbing any ill-researched or investigated claim into the arena they are sorely mistaken.
As each of those claims are easily dismissed, sued against and held up to ridicule, the impact is to weaken the legitimate cases in the public's eye.
