Icke says,
"The choice is with the people". I don't think it is - TPV will exist with the support of people but it will not necessarily represent them.
"We will not take advertising from companies...having a negative impact on society. If someone came along and said we'll give you a billion pounds for TPV and we were on our last legs...
would be the reply." I disagree. You would at the very least negotiate in order to stay afloat. More probably you would hide or spin that level of sponsorship.
"Give £1 to this station, which is non-profit making." What is classed as 'profit' exactly? Call me cynical but if £500,000 per month comes in as donations there will be profit all right.
"What we could do would be absolutely without limit." No, you are already aware of the limitations of 'free' speech in the broadcasting media. Suppose people want to come on and rant/accuse the McCanns of covering up their daughter's death, for instance. Will that go out? No. Suppose someone wants to accuse a politician of paedophilia or fraud. Will that go out? No. TPV will be regulated. They know it but don't think we do.
"In some way we will do it because it's meant to be, and TPV....certainly two years from now will be a global media phenomenon..."
The concept hasn't been thought through. If people think this is going to be a broadcasting version of controversies voiced in the DI forum they are mistaken. It will be watered down and relatively safe. Perhaps TPV will have to employ a lawyer or two as content advisors, and that will help dent the quoted £500,000 pm. If TPV gets it wrong it will need half a million or so in the kitty for libel actions.
What about the music angle? Is this 'not for profit' too?

Come on!
Good on you for the ambition and getting a message out there but I for one am not fooled by the shop front. Judging from what I've read, along with intuition, I call integrity into question. There are already imported staff receiving a good wage and being comfortably housed, and yet TPV wants volunteers and "can't afford" (i.e. can't be arsed) to pay their expenses. Get outa here!!!
