Try it out... as long as you press the button within the same time frame each machine will land on the same number. Happens every time.
I used to play red/black. Bet a quid on one, then if I lost I'd double the stake and bet on the last colour to come in. It worked really well most of the time...

Mate of mine (who started playing fruit machines with me back in the day, and still plays now) spent a lot of money trying to suss out the virtual roulette system. He gained a good knowledge of it, but eventually gave it up as unworkable, ie not viable. Perhaps he's wrong.

The first person to work out a workable scam/scheme on those will be a rich man..

I usually bet using mathematical probablility rather than just picking some numbers & hoping for the best. Sometimes, when I'm doing red/black and betting on the colour that came in last, it will stay on the same colour 10-15 times. That's when I start upping the ante & get on a good roll. My mate knows where on the board, often to the number where the ball is going to land once you see where the ball comes out on the screen. Dedication. Always puts a few quid on 0.

Are these knowledgeable gamers a bit like the Masons then, dg? How do you recognise each other and what kind of reprisals can you expect for divulging holy secrets?

On Barcrest machines, it shows how much money is in the hopper, on a readout on the screen. For the engineers/operator guys benefit. Beneficial to a player to have that info too of course...

I've heard that on JPM machines, the same key can be used to actually alter the machines programming, but cannot confirm that as fact personally.

I've still got one somewhere, will have a look for it. I'll send a cut copy free of charge to yourself if I find it. Its not illegal to insert a refill key btw. The keyhole on the machines is normally somewhere on the underside of the shelf above the payout tray, on the right. Run your fingers around under there and you'll find it.

One thing I do know for sure however...the cashpot is 'free'...ie its already been paid for, so taking the cashpot won't affect the mood of the machine.
