IMHO America and Britain want the Euro to fail because they don't want a rival trading tool to their own dollar and sterling.

Edit (not America and Britain i mean powerful individuals who live in America and Britain,ive got to get out of the habit of thinking in terms of nations rather the people who control them ; )

What gives you the impression that the US Dollar and GB Pound are earmarked for salvation? IMHO ultimately the objective is a single currency. The Dollar has been dead for years - when they trade with nations such as China they receive good in exchange for worthless paper or even worse binary inputs via a computer terminal. The QE has devalued the Chinese holdings of US Dollars significantly in the same way it has devalued for everyone using dollars.
