The food retailers are in a stronger position than ever before in regards to market share, they dictate the terms in this day and age.

They will also use any excuse to manipulate prices imo... the food market is now global, bulk freight isnt terribly expensive tbh, a lot of food is already imported, and yet they claim they cant find alternative sources without lifting prices.

All i can suggest is that people bypass the big outlets wherever possible, though the amount of people that understand this is an extremely small minority unfortunately.

Food shortages are by design, it could not be that way.

Then lets plant up more vedge, our garden is still half full of every green you can think of, did you know you can eat most of the leaves from broccolli, leak and many more, we planted a wide variety of winter vedge which will be ready in March/April.

Plant closet forbetter protection in harsher weather, double the size of our plot next year is what we do, by growing a wider variety and swapping species between gardeners, those that did not last season now have empty plots and it shows, we have given away much of ours too.

Its not what we believe or think, but how and what we do to each other that counts, told thas before, to hell with the hype, get yourself another system that pays you for your entire worth.

Ever heard of the hanging gardens of Babylon, hanging is the main clue here, preferably south facing, if there are balconies involved mores the better.

There are town and city groups persuading local farmers to lease off small pieces of land where the ploughs cannot reach, where there's a will there is a way. Just a box full of vedge can be a god send for these people, these are the ones I have shared with without a garden if they come one day a week and help us to do something, anything.

The walls are high, the whole have to find ways to start taking them down themselves.

Yep, I pay about 50% more for a typical trolley full of shopping now than just a few years ago, and I'm not buying more or being more extravagant in my selections.
