Are there alternatives for people to choose other than facebook which are are owned by decent people?
If not why not?
Surely there are intelligent people who could start businesses that have a alternative way of operating than the usual scum.

Everythings a business so has to be run for profit, therefore theres no such thing as a facebook alternative run by decent people :)

Linkedin does at least have some very upfront and simple t&c but thats a work thing rather than social.
