Oh gosh, poor you. I totally sympathise with you, I know how difficult it is.
I stopped drinking diet coke a few months ago and the first week or so is awful. Keep with it though and pretty soon you won't be able to stomach thought of it at all. In fact I had a diet coke about 3 weeks after I stopped drinking it and only managed a bit before I had to stop drinking cos it bloated my tummy and gave me huge pains.
My only tip is drink loads of water but you don't like it. It's the best thing you can give your body so why not just give it a try for a few days and see how you feel? Sometimes if I'm feeling posh I'll stick slices of lemon or lime into mine with ice. I know, I live the life
Thanks Zara. As for feeling 'posh', I managed to procure a fridge with a working freezer compartment recently, so for the first time in years I can have actual cubes! Get me!!!
Still doesn't make water any more tempting for me though. Plus, it has to be tap at present, due to funds and christ only knows what they put in that.
I am obviously going to have to beguile, sleep with, then move in with someone who has a working well for this to work at all.
I have done for a couple of weeks at a time before, but I always end up right back on it. I have noticed that I associate certain foods with this particular beverage and for some reason, can't eat those foods without this drink. It is weird as I don't think I generally have an addictive personality.
