Interesting about your improvements Abo. I see that you're a forager too, I've started this year, so you have potential to make your diet A1. Have you considered wild juice fasting? Ie juicing greens etc. from the wild? I found the film Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead, very inspiring.

Not seen it icke, will have to take a look.

Edit: re juicing, I'm trying to keep things as simple as possible and did try some of that powdered vegetable stuff from the health shop, but it wasn't for me. Juicing with fruit and veg was way to exxy for me, but I could give it a go with foraged stuff, I s'pose...

Cheers.

Such good news to hear from both. Abs, keep it up, we're here for you to talk to.

It really stinks that vegetables and fruits are expensive and junk food is cheap. Unnatural, really.

As dermatologists have told me, my skin was meant to live in Ohio, one said it was meant to live in Norway, so you can understand that I cannot take much sun at all before I burn.

Folks like me need to supplement with D3. I've been taking 1000 mg (1 gm) daily, but may look into increasing.

Abs, I've tried taking veg capsules but they didn't do justice for me either.

Interesting thread. I remember hearing that if you sunbathe, that you shouldnt wash (except your pits and bits) for 24-48 hrs else you wash the vit D off your skin!

@ I_I_R - youre right about absorbing light though our eyes, and my trusty raybans recently broke but im forcing myself to live without buying a new pair - but its a bit like breaking an addiction.
I also stare at the sun in morning and evening when UV is low.

btw - do you know youll get banned on DIF for using your same username? Also, you going to start a silver thread?? :hypo:

Hello Dom, I hope that you are well. I have done my best to get the message out on the metals situation and it's been there for all to see for the last 4 years now. Perhaps that thread will gain more interest as the Euro crisis increases over the next 6 months?

Too many rules to keep up with on the DIF, I'm not bright enough to follow all those, are you? If I get banned, I'll make sure that the message get's back to the forum somehow, for good measure. Honestly, we in a battle here for other things, I don't want to waste time and effort over pathetic antics! So be it, if they are not on our side, they are the enemy, plain and simple. Perhaps true colours are being shown? Good to know before the real battle starts.

If that's true about washing, I'll just have to ignore it! Lol. I hope that what I'm doing will do the trick. I made so much nettle juice yest, that I couldn't drink it all. I found some real beauties in the forest and a shady place, where interestingly German deserters had been shot in the second WW. I also when in the later afternoon sun for and hour or two. What a lovely day.

I wear sunnies when running only, so people can't see the pain in my eyes! :)

Hi, and yes im good thanks. Im happy to have the chance to thank you though (i even tried to blag my way back to DIF by licking Sean's ass, via email of course, so that i could post on the G/S thread). Basically that thread helped me get to grips with the subject of metals, which previously felt unapproachable, and now I have 420 philharmonikas which is a small but respectable amount. Things have been interesting recently! and I still follow comments on your thread, so yeah, I hope you dont get banned. tbh, I never bothered to read the forum guidelines as I figured that just being myself and using common sense, would be sufficient to avoid any trouble, but seems I was wrong. It appears that a light is being shone on all the corruption in the world, and maybe the mods at DIF are overdue for having a light shone on their agendas. Anyway, well done for your fighting spirit, viva la resistance :secret:

ive been picking nettles too, but probably not as good as your 'nazi nettles' which maybe are so healthy due to all the blood spilled there. But youve got me inspired to juice nettles and start learning how to forage for wild greens in general.

Sunglasses are indeed good for disguising pained expressions when running - but also for sneaking glances at boobies :chuckle:

Regarding Vitamin D, here is a short video which explains the mechanics - but yeah, Im sure that you still get benefits from sunlight even if you shower:

Very interesting vid, I'll bookmark that as it is important and I believe it, thanks.

I'm sorry to hear that you've been banned from the DIF. I thought that you seemed so level headed and calm when responding to idiots! So this is a surprise.

Those Nazi nettles are good, :chuckle: but remember that all nettles are connected. :) I'm glad that you're getting into them but be careful about ticks. It might be worth doing a thread on what I've learned (the hard way lol!), just so that people are informed.

Yes, i think its important- I mean, just having a shower could ruin much benefit from the sun, and as we dont get much sun I think its important to make the most of it when we can.

About DIF, I got banned just for being on this forum which is "instigating forum wars" apparently  I always thought moderation was a formality, or just to keep the nazis out, because forums are just about chatting after all. But it seems the mods take things very seriously, and dont like members (aka assets) using other forums as it may affect revenue. I may have upset i_am by pretending to be her when I joined originally, but Im sure that wasnt motivation enough to ban me :chuckle:

And when you say ticks, do you mean bitey things? :O

Yes, I mean bitey things. They generally live in undergrowth up to about 80cm in height (from what I can gather) and wait for a victim to come along. They are picked up by brushing past them. They carry Lymes disease. Lymes seems to have suddenly appeared in the 1970's and on my first look at the disease, it looks like it's been manufactured in a lab as an horrendous disease to fight. It is not erradicated with antibiotics and can lead to death.

My precautions now are to wear long sleeves, rubber gloaves, trousers tucked into socks and I don't got into the undergrowth much. I tend to pick from a walk way, so I have virtually no contact with plants and my body. I sometimes also wack the plants with a stick, hence cutting a path for myself. I do sometimes brush the stick over the plants in an effort to knock alot of insects off. I take the clothing off after finishing foraging. I also sterilise the plant material due to the fact that it's supposedly possible to pick up from the plants themselves. Bear in mind, here in Germany, the situation is very extreme.

I had two tick bites. The second, I'm still scarred from. I've discussed this on the DI forum.

Amazing that you got banned for joining another forum. I wonder if any sanity will start to prevail over at DIF?

I heard that Lymes is controversial, (maybe I remember you mentioning it beofre) but its one subject I havent delved into yet. But, seems very relevant and im curous now - annoying how they can make nature even more hostile by making ticks evil and dangerous grrr. Thanks for the heads-up

I was taking just 1000IU of D3 in my 'Alive Ultra Potency wholefood multivit' but upped my D3 and am now taking 20,000IU a day with 200mcg of vitamin K2 ...gunna do this for a week or so, then reduce it to 10,000IU, and then eventually to 5,000IU a day and 100mcg of K2

reason...well ...got new small cavity in a tooth, and the thought of going for another amaglam filling...UGH. Was all booked in and stopped and cancelled appointment last minute. Would have paid to get white stuff in instead but that BPA? in the composite shots out eostrogen and i dont react well to excess hormones, even in teeny amounts...so...its raw milk, Hydrogen peroxide as tooth and mouth wash, D3 and K2 and time. :)
