I have been in a quandry as to where to put this thread as it can be moved to a couple of other sections. Finally I have decided to put it here in todays news as it is in the news.
I also hate starting a thread without links to back it up. There is so much info out there that I have finally managed to find one that covers the problem which is happening it would appear in many, many countries. Anyway, here goes.

Many, many years ago, I was teaching a workshop (complimentary therapy) and was asked what I thought the future held for 'alternative' therapies as they seemed to be going through a 'lull'. I replied that in 15-20 years the pharmaceutical companies would be in dier straits and people would be left with no choice but to turn to complimentary'alternative health practitioners.

Yesterday, my daughters came up to visit for mothers day. My youngest is off to SA on a field trip in a couple of months. (both daughters, but particularly my youngest is very awake and switched on). She obviously needs some jabs. Thankfully, she didn't need all the jabs, just the one, typhoid. Now here is the crunch....there is NO typhoid vacine left in the UK. The only way she could get it was as a combined typhoid/hep injection, which in her case was fine as she had not been previously inoculated for hep. If you have had a hep jab and need typhoid jab....you wont be able to get it as it is only available in combo which you can't have if you have already had the hep. So what's the big deal.....?.....typhoid is on the rise. The nurse told my daughter to tell any of her friends that needed typhoid jab to get it done asap as the hep/typhoid was now running out with no sign of it being restocked either!

OK, so far your probably not that concerned. There's more.
Today all over the news we have the old chestnut about dr's over prescribing antibiotics. It's not as simple as that though. Pharmas have been spending more money on diabetes drugs and not keeping up with the quickly mutating viruses, and therefore the antibiotic based drugs are inefectual, and because they have not been keeping up with the 'mutations' they are now well behind on producing any effective antibiotic.

Have a look at this quick excerpt
If there was ever a time to learn about the Natural Allopathic Medicine protocol and how to use iodine, bicarbonate, selenium and magnesium chloride, as well as its other components of the protocol, that time is now. The walls of Modern Medicine are falling, and if people were smart they would run out from under the falling stones and learn how to be independent of the medical industrial complex.

A "nightmare" bacteria that is resistant to powerful antibiotics and kills half of those it infects has surfaced in nearly 200 U.S. hospitals and nursing homes, federal health officials reported Tuesday.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said 4 percent of U.S. hospitals and 18 percent of nursing homes had treated at least one patient with the bacteria, called Carbapenem-Resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE), within the first six months of 2012.

What is happening already in Greece is like the canary in the coal mine. Greeks are in a panic as drug firms slash medicine supplies by 90% on bad debts.

This tragedy is coming to the rest of the world as the world economy contracts and as austerity bites harder, like it will start now in the USA.

Pharmaceutical multinationals have halted shipments to the country because of the economic crisis. Even the Red Cross slashed its supply of donor blood to Greece because it had not paid its bills on time. Pharmacies in Greece describe chaotic scenes as clients desperately search from shop to shop for much-needed drugs. Greece’s Pharmaceutical Association said "around 300 drugs are in very short supply," adding that "It’s a disgrace
