Sorry, I haven't been reading this thread, but I'd just like to clarify that I don't favour a return to the gold standard as a long-term policy, necessarily. I simply view it as a superior short-term measure to having absolutely nothing solid to back up currency whatsoever which will definitely result in all of the major currencies being completely devalued (with the possible exception of the Swiss franc, although they've partially pegged it to the euro, which won't help), and indeed historically this has been case as can be easily demonstrated. Really a good primer on economic issues would simply be taking the eighteen minutes required to watch these two videos and look at this picture.

Incidentally, regarding the gold standard and Tory statement, Max Keiser, the person in the video, spoke at Westminster recently. Every single MP was invited. Guess how many turned up.

That really tells you everything that you need to know. What people choose to do with that information is up to them. If you choose to put your fingers in your ears and go "la, la, la, I can't hear you", that's up to the individual involved.

I was only being polemic saying tories, you could do more, if you honestly and passionately believe as you said, "if you can't beat them join them", that's exactly what you said re the anti-terrorist video, "if you can't beat them join them", then why not actually walk the walk instead of just talking up the fact that you're self employed and have 100% disposable income and fuck over everyone else by evading tax?

I do quite well without any govt 'help' as I outlined before. I'd piss away hours of my productive time on another govt welfare scheme, gg well played.

If people are genuinely interested then they'll come to me not the govt.

The point is you do quite well for your own self interest.
You could create a charitable foundation that helps young unemployed people develop the confidence to run a business, creating a larger personal network, that's fine there are plenty others who will cash in on the idea.

I've highlighted your pessimism closer to fifteen times, there were a few posts where you missed a couple of instances where I used the word. that is what you're counting right?
