I have been laying in bed awake and it is like 5 a.m.. You may or may not be aware that I am currently between jobs. I have also been on something of a messed up schedule and my mind has been the hardest working thing in the house. It is often that way but unless I work physically my body can`t seem to rest too well.

Anyway the good news is that whilst thinking about shit all night I decided that I would start a blog and who knows maybe I will go one step further eventually. Not sure what that step will be but my blog is going to relate in a way to my job as a union painter. I want to fix the union I am in for all my brothers and sisters and there is much work to be done.

In other good news staying up late I have rediscovered lots of old music.

Just been told my forth Grandchild is on the way.

I managed to get my old Enfield mantle clock to actually tick today after five years of not knowing what the chuff to do with it!!

Am going to fix it up properly for my grandpa who is poorly and helped me take it to pieces when I first got it. We never figured it out then, but I'm going to get it done now.

My dad's an antique dealer, and I've watched him dismantle clocks & put them back together (before his eyesight deteriorated). It's very tricky looking. I'll bet if you could get the knack, your services would be in great demand.

Well, I sent him today actually, but it was closed for a teacher training day which either they forgot to notify us of, or I neglected to mark it on the calendar. Still - tomorrow, it's the real thing!

I finally went to visit my parents in France, I was too ill and skint to go before, and it was great to see them getting on so well. The opportunity to stock up on wine and liqueurs was eagerly grabbed with both hands. This means that in a shtf situation I can just get shit-faced and muddle through it.

Taking a clock apart is very impressive btw abs.

Hurray! I'm all excitable, because I've just booked onto an beginner's archery course. They're fully booked till next April, so I've to wait till then, but I shall pretend I'm Galadriel.

You start with a recurve bow, and can then join the club if you fancy it, and can progress to cross-bow, and / or long-bow. I quite fancy all 3, but will see how it goes.

I love learning new things.
