There are tons of quotes knocking around on the net and no doubt most of us have read most of them , some quotes are self explanatory in their meaning but some are a little more tricky and have to be thought about a little deeper as they can have multiple meanings.

One that has always made me think is 'baptism of fire' I could never quite work it out, but, there it goes !
Does anyone else have any quotes they would like to add, the rarer the better.

Are you talking about sayings? Like "out of the frying pan, and into the fire".

In fact the significance of the scripture divides the theologians: some think it refers to the fire that is the Holy Spirit (that in the Pentecost appeared as tongues of flame on the heads of the Apostles); while some take it as an excuse for ranting about the fires of Hell and why the USA bombing people is God's will.
