You asked for silliness :emb: :D It's a solution, a very unworkable, and time consuming one, but a solution nonetheless :chuckle:

If I'd been granted the due smiting rights in my time as a member of the AGBFWSTDBTBF I'd + smite you for that excellent suggestion irre. Sadly as a member of the PGBFWSTDBTBF I have but one smite every 6 hours and the finger is currently hanging over the smite button, pending andy's response to the cost per tyre of boot polish :(

When shoe polish was mentioned I thought perhaps boot dubbin would be a better option because of it's waterproofing qualities, (and it had dub in it's name), but it turns out you'd be cheaper with the gel gear.

2 quid each time I do it!!!!! Bloody hell a £3.99 bottle of Linseed oil lasts me about 2 years of blacking up. Consider yourself smited you decadent bourgeois plonker :mad:

When I owned a car and was pushed for time, I used to paint oil onto the tyres. It was always in the boot anyway, and it brought them up lovely.

Not sure it'd prevent them getting mucky again though, dubs. You big poof.

Depends how long you want the black to last tbh.

Like I said, the £8 stuff I liked earlier works best I reckon. I get about 3 months of nice colour out of it and I've still got the same bottle I used last year.
