Since Oi put me on to Scroobius Pip I've been listening to a lot of his stuff.
It's raised an important question in my head.
Is his lazy flow of consciousness actually a better form of rapping than the agitated rapid fire spittin of Ben drew?

I am ashamed to say I have no idea who either of these gents is but I hate seeing topics with no replies, even new ones, so I am responding with a general point. Fast or slow is all a matter of taste and perhaps your mood. I saw Blackalicious at Reading with Gift of the Gab and he was really awesome and very fast. Having said that I do also love the more laid back mc`s.

I will have to check out the gentlemen you mentioned now.

Not sure who those fellas are but I doubt they could be as good as Kurtis Blow. Showing my age.

I would say that as far as technical ability you would probably say the Plan B fella although as far as originality I would pick Scroobius Pip as the better rapper.

Lyrically I think Scroob has the edge, he is more a poet along the lines of the legendary Pete Doherty, whereas Ben Drew is a balls out rapper. Two very different approaches, each with great merit. I just can't put a rizla between them tbh.
