I don't think there is any point in continuing this 'discussion'. If you want to believe in Obama and vote for him, good luck to you. You don't have to justify yourself to me. I wish the American people well; they're going to need it considering they're flat broke and have just re-elected Obama, and 98% of them voted for either Obama or Romney. So you're going to need a lot of luck. It's often said that repeating the same behaviour over and over again and expecting different results is the definition of insanity. I maintain that it is merely stupid.
And, again, don't worry, people behave in an almost identically stupid fashion in Britain.
I can tell you a good reason you might not wan't to continue this 'discussion'...
You have said this multiple times now about America...

So i feel that was a cheap shot and i'm going to need to go back and point out the last 70 years of UK leadership.
In 1952 Queen Elizabeth II became the constitutional monarchy of the United Kingdom and overseas territories.
In 1953 Dwight Eisenhower was the president and he spoke out against the Military industrial complex in 1961.
In 1961 JFK The Legendary Irish president who stood with MLK for equal rights was in the white house...........
In 1977 Queen Elizabeth II had her Silver Jubilee celebration to mark her 25th UK ruling anniversary................
In 1977 Jimmy Carter the guy who stands up for the Palestinian people was president of the USA...................
In 2002 Queen Elizabeth II had her Golden Jubilee in celebration to mark her 50th UK ruling anniversary.........
In 2008 Barack Obama becomes the first African American President of the United States............................
In 2012 Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee to celebrate her 60th year of rule with the Sceptre over the British
So yea I guess your right...
"repeating the same behaviour over and over again and expecting different results is the definition of insanity"
And the UK has been insane to let that madness go on for the last 60 years in a row...
