I reckon you could do more than 'survive' app and for a lot longer than a month anorl
And tbh whilst my 'standard of living' would likely not be as good as yours, I'm confident that I could too.
Ha ha, Dubs, All one needs to remember is to pass the twelve day rulling that I mentioned a whiles back, that's all, the job will have been sorted in that time, believe me, its a tried and tested ruling, given to me by my Grandfather, who used it after he escaped twice from prisoner of war camps in Poland during the last world war.
What is this twelve day ruling app? Have you posted it here anywhere?
.
The twelve day rule basically gives anyone in an emergency situation that, a basic calorific intake/guide needed to survive a natural or unatural crisis. If your on the run say or holding out in any given area for any reason, your going to need a minimum of supplies that you can carry easily to support you on your journey. My Grandfather used this, his model, to successfully escape from several prisoner of war camps during world war two.
Prior to escaping the captived team would allow the geese as he called them, to fatten up on extra rations sacrificed by the other prisoners to give them a better chance at surviving the flight. This model ruling can be used in any given situation, be it a global collapse of the food supply or any other instant after effect of man's folley.
The daily intake he needed was a minimum of 500 calories per day to sustain them in a static situation and more if moving in and out of lairs at night, any less than 500 calories and the body soon goes into hibernation mode, very much like nature does towards the end of each season.
He made two crossings, second attempt, of occupied Europe, finally holding up in Vienna in a loft of our then Grandmother to be for the last 18 months of the war, he worked out afterwards how much food he was actually consuming, which was subsidised by food stolen from farmers fields at night with Mimi, at great risk to them both, some bonding process for a couple hey, which was to last them a lifetime.
So if there was ever a crash, take those calories at least and hide away for at least 12 days and most of everyone else will have already failed to survive, or very unlikely to have survived.
Take into consideration, the ' Heat is half Meat' model of old, where if you can keep warm and dry en-route, those calories will create enough heat from the food in a confined space to see you through a couple more days.
If you take any natural dissaster situation, the rescue services normally start thinking of knocking it on the head after about that amount ouf time unless they know someone is alive, like the trapped miners in South America. These were kept alive by having warmth and water and just enough food to keep their digestive systems running to prevent their bodies going into self consumption mode, a mouth full of food a day I think they had got to.
