Going to try and start a collective when i get the right idea for a business.

Example 150 people all putting £1000 down to buy property or land collectively so we all have equal shares.

This could be used to buy land open up caravan site rent caravans out in summer goes in pot to buy more land or property etc

There is so much we can do collectively we just do not realize how much power we have collectively.

Ideas or feed back

Most of us are only going to live a comfortable life financially if we form unity collectives .

Please i do not need to know how making money is wrong and not spiritual. Its just that making money takes the sting out of being poor.

Or even to create an off the grid collective ,grow own food,etc :)

Commendable idea foon :)
Am all for the collective approach, I see it as crucial. I can't help but wonder if you may struggle if you aim quite so high from the off though. Things are tight as you know and a campsite can be run with very few staff. If you had 100 folk in, most would essentially be just equal shareholders with little or no active involvement. Am sure you'll get some sound ideas and advice as the thread develops. i can't offer much at this moment cos I'm about to head to work.

@ Andy...don't be so defeatist! :)
Mellowcroft is a natural holistic retreat.

An ancient Welsh small-holding, nestled beneath the Llandegley rocks of mid-Wales, this land is a haven for wildlife and exploration. A pioneering model of land-use, it provides a beautiful space for private retreats, events and workshops.

Reclaimed from sheep-grazing, these 12 acres are now held in trust and run as a 'not-for-profit' social enterprise to champion conservation, sustainability and the arts. Mellowcroft is a bold step forward for Welsh eco-tourism.
"A truly inspiring and imaginative project, all strength to this home and hearth."

It was recently featured in Kevin McClouds 'shed in a wood' project/programme.

To be honest Andy I havent got a clue how much the land will cost {just playing with ideas at moment}

The land does not need to house 150 people or it can do. Many people may not want to live on site. Theres a fortune to be made from renting caravans etc out . Just think some kind of collective may make us alot of money and take the thought of earning minimum wage out of my life :cool:
