The on-going saga with the freaks across the hall has got me thinking lately...but I just can't bring myself to do it. I wondered what you all would do?

Basically, this council flat was sold to the tenant some years ago (thanks Maggie!) who proceeded to tout it out to anyone and everyone since then. Many, many folks have come and gone and most of them have minded their own business.

Recently, the owner leased the flat back to a housing association (again...good one, Maggie!) and that's where this latest tenant has come from.

Now, as well as pissing about with my locks and trying to open the door when I had it on the chain drying recently after painting, they're just dodgy. These are bed-sits...one room, one kitchen, one bathroom. That's all. This most recent chap is barely here but there are at least three others who all seem to have keys. They don't look at all alike, so I'm assuming that they aren't related. The actual tenant shows up about once a month, I presume to collect letters and so on.

I was sorely tempted to grass him up, not only because his sub-letters are pissing me off but because social housing is something I feel quite passionate about. If he really doesn't need it, then why does he have it? In the same breath... it's fuck all to do with me and I'm just being a bitch.

What would you do?

Personally, I couldn't grass on anyone.

My only exceptions are if someone commited a violent or sexual crime.

In your situation, I'd have confronted the person face on with the issues and taken it from there.

Yep... to clarify I am decided I won't be grassing anyone. I just wondered if you lot would?

There are arguments for and against it, but essentially I come from the same school as 'Sketts. You can't trust the fucking authorities anyway, so what's the point?

I wouldn't grass them. I'd be practicing my cricket strokes in the hall very visibly...I've done this before in a similarish situation and it did the trick

I agree with everyone else so far. I wouldn't grass. I might rupture his gizzard though, if I found him mauling about with my locks.
