Lately I've listened to people expressing apathy to voting and think it's a waste of time. Personally I haven't voted for a long time but that will change come the next election. The two main parties are as bad as each other, and when one gets in what do they do? Consistently say that they took over the mess left from the previous government and it takes time to change things. Ha ha. It takes the will to change things but most politicians are too weak and ineffectual when it comes to major change. Whatever happened to the EU referendum and the con that proportional representation will be examined?

Politics in the UK is a sad joke - just take a look at Question Time. They talk a lot but do very little except protect their jobs. What Britain needs is a party to stand up for the people and do away with all the cr@p the people have been forced to take by successive Labour and Tory governents.

Many people in this country are on the poverty line and I for one am sick of it being blamed on the unemployed, for example. Jobseekers Allowance and housing benefit constitutes just a small fraction of the welfare bill - but they don't want you to know that. It's easier to pick on those already disadvantaged in society like the unemployed, the sick and the disabled. Unfortunately the media (esp the Daily Mail) lap it up because they are mere puppets of those in power. This government is nothing but a pathetic playground bully and I'm surprised more people (apparently) don't see through them.

I am not for radical change, revolution or anarchy but a common sense approach to policies that actually address the crucial issues Britain is facing. The present lot are useless and deflect their own shortcomings towards the vulnerable so that people instead see them as the scourge of society. Grrr!!!!

The present are the same as the past lot, Magpie. They simply change their shirts (as well as some of their alliances).

A vote for any of them is a vote for more of the same, I'm afraid.

I have a problem with voting in that the things that are voted upon are violent acts against un-consenting individuals.
It is immoral and logically fallacious, it's certainly not a waste of time though if you understand the purpose of Collectivist Authoritarianism, Democracy is in fact the most efficient form of Tyranny yet devised, it works perfectly.

Direct democracy would be the better option, I can't see anywhere outside of Switzeland getting it though.

The only way to get politicians to change their views is by emulating the way the status quo gets people to do things they want.

It mainly revolves around taking things off people and threats.
