Rumour has it the dam owners tried charging the goats 2 euros for access.
But the goats said "that's a bit fucking steep!"

Why couldn't it have been a randy goat who had it away with a chimp instead of a pig

I adore goats. They're so comical and bouncy. I'm hoping to swap my husband for a few of these & some chickens next year.

Many moons ago I took my offspring to the city farm in Edinburgh.
(I wasn't asking much for them, maybe a couple of chickens or failing that a dozen eggs would have closed the deal).

Anyhoo, as we are wandering around we spot this big gormless looking goat who had been tethered to a post and walked around it in a circle, enough to have it's daft head right up against the post.

I look around, no-one in sight to help the dozy critter so I jump the fence, get across to him and walk him in circles the opposite direction until he's completely free of his predicament.

Cue two wee sprogs going YAY! :cheer: well done Dad!! :cheer:
Then I saw their expressions change, mere milliseconds before I was butted in the back and sent hurtling down the hill. :goat:
Ungrateful bastard!. Both my youngins were hysterical with laughter for ages after anorl.

Never work with children or animals, it fucking hurts! :bawl:

So, would you describe this Billy Goat's manner as gruff?

The three we have here are tame to the point of belly rubbing but i did once encounter a Cornish wild un.

I was out shrooming in the moors of Penwith. Those of you who do such things will know that the way is to let yourself be Piskey led. So. Piskey led me up the side of this tor. I'd scrambled/climbed up about 100ft when i emerged onto a thin ledge. Whereupon i meet this goat. He looks at me, raises his head and scrapes the ground. Swiftly followed by bearing back. Bear in mind it were a long way down. I was back off that ledge and down the face of the tor quicker than oi can finish a bottle of shine...
Scared the fuck outta me. Perhaps i should address my ritual of eating the first few i find when I'm out shrooming :D

If you're known for eating the first few goats you find when your out shrooming I can appreciate where that could bring out a bit of resistance in a chap tbf.

It was just inviting you to play, Feather. What a good dad you are to go to such length to entertain your kids.

It wasn't really there, Knobs. It was inside your head, and the piskeys were having a giggle at your expense.

Some mad cows tried to kill me once, and I've been chased by geese that were as big a me when I was a kid.
