i would never let anyone drive my van so i cant see why i have to tell these police morons i was the driver of my van who was allegedly doing 5mph over in 30mph zone...so the revenue raising bastards fine me £185 and 6pts but let me off 3pts for the speeding :ripped:

I'm afraid the courts regard 'failing to respond to a NIP' a very serious offence. More serious than speeding.

to be honest i couldnt care a fuck what they think...in what way is it a serious offence? can it harm anyone,cause loss ? no..case dismissed

They're bastards, I know stating the obvious but I'm off to one of those speed awareness courses on Monday, yes, apparently because they stuck a random 50 mph sign in the middle of the M25 and no one took any notice of it, I have to attend or the ban stick comes out on my license.

I wanted to argue that sat-nav told me to keep driving at 70ish...it was either that or perish, those lorries behind me sure as hell weren't doing 50.

I think it's important to stand up for yourself, but ultimately in these situations the dibbles/state will win. there's no point going on with some fmotl argument 'I'm a flesh and blood human being not a strawman' because the end result will be... fine/points or if you make a complete nuisance of yourself prison!
