US protecting Syria jihadist group - Russia's Lavrov
www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-37520793
The US is trying to spare a jihadist group in its attempts to unseat Syria's President Bashar al-Assad, Russia's foreign minister has told the BBC.
Sergei Lavrov said the US had broken its promise to separate the powerful Jabhat Fateh al-Sham (formerly known as al-Nusra Front) and other extremist groups from more moderate rebels.

"They [the US] pledged solemnly to take as a priority an obligation to separate the opposition from Nusra," he said.

"They still, in spite of many repeated promises and commitments... are not able or not willing to do this and we have more and more reasons to believe that from the very beginning the plan was to spare Nusra and to keep it just in case for Plan B or stage two when it would be time to change the regime."

He's being very um, diplomatic there because The proscribed groups like Al Nusra have been very much Plan A since long before the full on outbreak of what has farcically been dubbed a 'Civil War'. But he aint far off telling it like it is there.

I see Russia got a slot the other night in the first Clinton/Trump debate too with Clinton claiming Putin was playing a dangerous game, or something along those lines. You get the feeling that maybe more so than usual, alot of 'not playing ball' is going on perhaps.

Ever since Lavrov put an end to the hawks' original Syria invasion plan by getting Assad to agree to CW checks, the anti Russia rhetoric and actions have been markedly ramped up. Putin and co were clearly told, stop fekking around with our plans. They responded by ignoring the playground bully tactics. Over these past few years, it's become laughable (if it weren't so serious), right down to the Olympic doping thing. As if Russia is the only country with dopey athletes!
Ofc Putin and co are no saints. They have their own agenda. They do however feel able to speak far more truth about the actions and intentions of the Western war criminals than ANY of the Western media...

Considering they've been 'escorted' from Scottish air space over the North Sea more than once of late, my guess is they'll be coming in via my backyard if that agenda ever gets any legs :D

Heres Putin setting the record straight about things he supposedly said.

You have to admire his forthrightness if nothing else

And yes no angel im sure, but it was kind of satisfying to see him mildly shred the establishment whorejournalist.

I like Putin.

I'm not sure how I feel about saying that, especially as I don't know anything near enough about what it going on with them all; but I do like Putin.

As ever...the BBC can't help itself when it comes to presenting heavily loaded comment....contrary to the charter by which it exists....

From the article:
www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-37539616
Russia suspends weapons-grade plutonium deal with US

A nice little unqualified and very much crap set of comments designed to brainwash the very public the organization is sworn to inform:
The US - as well as the European Union - imposed a series of sanctions against Russia following the annexation No, Crimea held a referendum on it and voted to ask Russia if they could become part of it. This was therefore an amalgamation, not an annexation. The two are very very different by Moscow of Ukraine's southern Crimea peninsula in 2014, and Russia's support for separatists in eastern Ukraine. Separatists who refuse to be ruled by the unashamedly Fascist bunch of ******* in Kiev

Tensions between Washington and Moscow rose further last month over Russia's bombing campaign in Syria, which some have described as a "war crime". Some? Some? Who? Maybe the Western war criminals that are behind the whole war of aggression in the first place? Maybe the media that unquestioningly parrots whatever they are told to say by these, 'people'? Like the um...BBC?

Russian planes are helping Syrian government forces to hit rebel groups, some of which are supported by the US and its Gulf Arab allies. Um, what was that about supporting proscribed groups in ANY way being an act of terrorism under Western 'law'?

Russia is currently modernising its nuclear arsenal. Cough, Trident, cough...
