Oh ok they are both obligated to conform to international treaties, does that mean they are exactly the same? :killinme:
No, of course not, they still have national political decisions to make, I don't think the Labour government would have been opening up the NHS to Virgin Care, they wouldn't be trying to revoke the Human Rights Act etc, why won't you admit their are numerous irreconcilable and obvious difference between the tories and any normal non-Etonian, money grabbing human being

Chevrolet, Ford and Chryslers major institutional shareholders are Blackrock Inc and Vanguard.

Many of the components that go into these vehicles come from the same corporations.

Where did the US governments manufacturers bail out money go when it went to Ford, GM and Chysler corp.. :killinme:

Yet masses people go to NASCAR or NHRA and cheer on their 'side'

(yes i am making an analogy)

As i said before, both sides are useful and have a role to play.

People would get confused now if oil grabbing neo-cons were pro carbon dioxide tax :killinme:

People would get confused if left wing parties wanted to kill hussein and gaddaffi , and go after terrorists (ie take control of afghani opium) in afghanistan.

But ultimately they are two wings of the same bird.

I dont have to look far to see the same groups of people involved in both fossil fuel extraction and carbon dioxide trading for example.

Whatever turns a dollar hey, its all about the benjamins.

I was first told of the idea that 2 party politics here in Australia is a scam, by so called 'outlaw motorcycle gangs' when i was a teenager.

So not david icke for me, but in the Finks clubhouse. :killinme:

The crown has been trying to dismantle them for a decade now and even tried to pass bogus laws saying members cannot even speak or interact...however in the high court it was deemed a violation of human rights...didnt stop the crown from trying though..and the motorcycle clubs still had to spend money going to court.

Point is, this is much bigger than david fucking icke, no matter how much you try and link that kind of thinking to mr lizard man.

oh yeah and those guys told all us 'youngsters' at the time, not to touch the halliburton run mains water supplies (that are full of fluoride and aluminum) also. :killinme:

This was before i even had the internet and knew who an Icke or Jones was dude.

The main difference is the base of the Labour party are average people who work hard, abide the law, play by the rules and get nothing for it, the base of the Tories are the landed gentry, businessmen, tax avoiders and monarchist fox hunting relics from the 19th century.

Sure, but we are all monarchists in a way when we dont do anything to change the, umm monarchy.

You must have seen all the flag wavers at the jubillee, or footage of it...im sure they werent all tory supporters. :larf:

Another funny thing about the monarchy...here in Australia we have some people keen on removing the monarchy...notably lawyer and former head of Goldman Sachs Australia Malcolm Turnbull. (who is busy writing amending the Crowns water act as we speak, and enjoys penning legal stuff for the government)

He is keen to re-write the constitution here also, should he get his way. Many commentators think it would be for the worst in regards to peoples liberties, and when i think about it , and that fuckers head, and what he is really about under his facade, i dont doubt that the commentators may have a point :larf:

That doesnt mean im a monarchist btw, and yes i know its a little off topic, but i just thought i would throw it out there...since it perhaps does fit the title/premise of the thread.

Where it grew from. it's foundations. You are correct that Labour grew from the working class, and Tories were all toffs.

But their leaders all go to the same parties now mate, and the same schools.

No I meant the Political base:
In politics, the term base refers to a group of voters who almost always support a single party's candidates for elected office. Base voters are very unlikely to vote for the candidate of an opposing party, regardless of the specific views each candidate holds. In the United States, this is typically because high-level candidates must hold the same stances on key issues as a party's base in order to gain the party's nomination and thus be guaranteed ballot access. In the case of legislative elections, base voters often prefer to support their party's candidate against an otherwise appealing opponent in order to strengthen their party's chances of gaining a simple majority - typically the gateway to overarching power - in a legislature.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Base_%28politics%29

Leadership are actually fairly insignificant imo.

Just mainstream figureheads, fairly bland owing to the fact they have to walk a tightrope of public opinion and party policy.

I wasn't taking the piss but I forgive you for saying so, I expected it owing to your belief system.

In a way, I don't really like football, my dad's a die hard bigot, i mean rangers fan :D
If your dad was a worker, miner, ship builder, union man, soldier during the war, then yes you'll probably still be poor and vote labour.

If your dad was a banker, lawyer, accountant, business owner, landowner, aristocrat, officer or civil servant during the war, you'll probably still be rich and vote conservative.
