What exactly are the negatives?

Answer that, I;ll objectively consider your opinion and point of view.

Why nobody answered? :conf:

I'll oblige; whoever you vote for the government wins!

So a vote for Syriza at the last greek election would have been the same as a vote for the Golden Dawn?

There'd still be a government.

I think sometimes voting is vital in order to prevent extremists like Godlen Dawn from getting into power. While I sympahise with oioioi's point that the government is always the winner, there is such a thing as "frying pan to fire".

OTOH, some elections are clearly either rigged or a pointless no-choice of a one party sysem masquerading as a two (or more) party system.

Anarcho-Syndicalism, I believe, is something worthwhile aspiring to and not really achievable purely through a ballot box with the current system. Having said that, there is still an argument for voting against the greater of two or more evils.

you raise a good point mikey. greece is a good case for perhaps HAVING to vote at this time. i'd be more worried about the amount of nazis that would need to be on the street for a 'party' like golden dawn to even be a 'contender' personally.
the time may come in england....
at present very few of us have to tick the anti bnp box...
what we have is as you describe, 2 and a half faces of the same big business coin.
some will say logically if all the liblabcons didnt vote, the bnp etc would rule. i say i'd love to see just how low a voter turnout needs to be for demonocracy to fail.

Yes of completely different character, theory and praxis than the other, the same is true of the Labour and Tory parties in the UK..

British Conservatism is a mind disease that should have died out 100's of years ago.

There aren't enough Nazi's here for them to be a huge concern politically. If it came down to feet on the street antifa -v- NaN's I doubt any but the most foolhardy of NaNs would even show...unless we're talking plod!

Just thought I'd quietly sneak in for a peek at what's been going on here. Wasn't really that surprised to see this kind of shite still occurring. Mods: This place still has big potential, look at some of the comments made on newspaper websites. There are many people out there that can genuinely see party politics for the Tellytubby-esque farce that it is. Is this a forum for people that;

A: Want to ask questions
B: Want to find answers
C: Want to find solutions
or
D: None of the above.

DG, why not just have a CUNT watch rule put in place, kill the shills, go out on a limb? Have some new rules to avoid this kind of pointless shite happening on threads that could be quite interesting. For example:

Rule 1: If you can't see that party politics is a massive con - fuck off.
Rule 2: If you want to unfairly accuse people of being affiliated with anything - fuck off.
Rule 3: If your posts consistently lead to pointless dick waving and fights - fuck off.
Rule 4: If your posts consistently include nonsense/scaremongering/etc/etc - fuck off.
Rule 5: If you cant obey the above rules - FUCK OFF.

Obviously, the above rules are just quixotic examples. Probably. If all else fails just rename it the Lawful Rebellion Forum and be done with. I jest. Really. I do.

:) :) :)

My point is, there's not much hope for those of us that know the game, even less for those that don't. At the beginning I'd hoped that this place would be a 'sanctum' for people that are at various levels of knowing, or at least wanting to know what the 'real' world is all about.

Maybe I'm just as guilty of living in fluffy cloud world as the useless eaters.

Ciao for now.

All the best :)

*just a quick note to those that mightn't be able to understand where I'm coming from with the above post. I appreciate the fact that many on this forum socialise and have a good crack etc. That's great. Really super. This week I bribed a doctor so that my 4 month old daughter could be marked down as having had her 'vaccines'. Touch wood, she'll grow up without having to experience ADD, ADHD or autism. Not trying to blow my own trumpet, just trying to give an example of something real. If this is a forum of like minds, what exactly are these like minds doing? Killing time on bullshit posts about party politics? If you think you have an idea about what is really going on on this planet, you really need to motivate yourself and others to find ways to take ACTION. Tell your friends to buy some fluoride free toothpaste on ebay, while their at it, get some aluminium free deodorant too. Anything positive counts. Like I said above, there's not much hope for anyone anyway. That's not scaremongering, it's a fact.

Where's the action here?

Since we're on the subject of voting and the political system I think WIll Self is a good cultural/social critic:

Hi good luck going through whooping cough with her :umm:

p.s are you saying we smell or is buying various grooming products a viable method of resistance to global capitalism?

D'oh! Can't see your link, Nov. Banned - remember? Like most people here. :D

It's always fascinating when someone pops up out of the blue to tell a whole forum where they're going wrong, and make out that they, on the other hand, are heroically fighting authoritah.

"The right to legally challenge government policies will be limited to help bolster the economy, PM David Cameron is expected to say later."

Mr Cameron drew a historical analogy, saying: "When this country was at war in the '40s, Whitehall underwent a revolution.

"Normal rules were circumvented. Convention was thrown out. As one historian put it, everything was thrown at 'the overriding purpose' of beating Hitler.

"Well, this country is in the economic equivalent of war today - and we need the same spirit. We need to forget about crossing every 't' and dotting every 'i' - and we need to throw everything we've got at winning in this global race."

Strange choice of analogy

I’d like someone to expand on and explain what “winning in this global race” actually means.

I know what it means but I found that little nugget quite revealing for its uncharacteristic honesty. I’d like to see how much of their pretence are these psychos willing to shed...

steevo? is that you?

seriously, i get a lot of what you're saying there. i've not done too good a job of hiding similar thoughts about this place.

there is a fek of a lot about this place that plain rocks but i've always had the feeling we ciuld be doing more. pretty much all of us are feeling the pinch and witnessing the world go to hell in a handbasket...

at the start, i was hoping threads like the veg thread would be a large part of the place. people networking, sharing practical help and advice, hooking up, supporting eachother in "skilling up" (TM the apprentice) and generally doing stuff that helps 'us' and disempowers them. don't get me wrong, we do have that stuff here, i'd just like to see more. for me that's when this place will have come of age...

Cheers dub mate. Always thought you were on my wavelength. At least someone is. I wouldn't expect Guev to understand the benefits of reducing fluoride and aluminium intake. Those two are actually the most vital. It's already zombie apocalypse out there, if you can get people off the alu and fluor they can eventually start to clear their heads and start thinking again. Whooping cough LOL. Not really worried about that. My CS is doing well on the old PPM meter :) As is my H2O on the PH meter :)

I know it sounds like a cop out, but if I eventually see some productivity, I will gladly invest some time in contributing. Until then..... keep growing your own dubs. All the best!

Winegums? LOL
