My point about political bases stands, politically aware voting have's, outnumber politically aware, voting have not's, yuppies outnumber workers in 2012, it's not just "elites" that vote Conservative.

Do you have any evidence that there are more "yuppies" than workers?
New Labour eradicated a lot of traditional Labour support.
No argument from me there. Practically indistinguishable from Tories eh
Do you believe a Labour Government would have been Identical to the Con-Dem alliance?
I don't believe anything. What I see is that if you draw the focus out and look at things over a period of time there has been and still is a continual march toward globalization, regardless of which party holds the reins.
How do you think you would gauge whether there are more yuppies than workers, I was going by personal experience, comparing the amount of people working in Financial Services to the amount of people working in Manufacturing perhaps?
I'd say house prices may also be a good indicator.
I'd say voter apathy is more common among have not's than it is among have's aswell, the have's traditionally vote Right Wing but many have nots can be swung to voting BNP or UKIP by right wing opportunism, demonizing immigrants, nationalist sentiment against the EU etc, why so surprised about globalization?
It;s been a key aspect of any Social Democratic State since the 2nd World War, why would anyone break with that?
The best you can hope for is that there is somebody with Socialist Democratic principles rather than Etonian revulsion for the lower classes.
