I can guarantee that if that was happening in front of my eyes, I'd try to help that man. Fail, most probably, but I know I'd try. And reticent as I am to disagree with such a wise soul, I've got to say that close up or from a distance, I wouldn't be cheering the likes of those vicious bastards on. I can't imagine either, Gilly. Alls I'm saying is, it isn't actually a huge leap from some of the stuff you see people getting irrate about in our very own country. You know...the stuff the likes of the Daily Mail like to whip people up into a frenzy about? I can imagine that folks might not be as reticent to take this type of action for themselves in the absence of any kind 'lawful' repercussions/protection etc. So to my mind, yeah..it's just humans being humans, nasty as it is to sometimes watch or even admit to. Sling a bit of poverty and depravation into the mix and this kind of behaviour could quite easily become common-place on your very own doorstep, I dare say.

Not all humans - I know you'd have helped out. Also, I'm very far from being a 'wise soul'. :P
