I think we should all remember that Veitch and many other so called "spokesmen" of the movement are all just human beings/
And as human beings they all have all to human flaws. Be it ego based or fear based, attention seeking whatever.
None of us are any better are we? We all have flaws too.
Too often we put these people on a pedestal and the stress of that can be too much.
Lets just remember his is a person just like us. A person who did his best to talk about and act on the things he believed in. We can ask no more of anyone. We should not have to take a microscope to their lives or have a check list of points that they need to pass before they are accepted as the real deal. Just treat em like you treat your mate. Listen to em, take in any useful shit they have to say then have a good laugh about the rest of the crap
While Charlie was guilty of putting himself out as a leader I think we are partly to blame for some of us wanting such a figure.
If we ALL got off our ass and away from our pcs long enough to actually go out there and do real shit like he tried to do, then we would hopefully be in a much better position than we are now and we would all of known that we did our best.
Why should we ask for any more than that off CV?

Saying that. On a personal; level I expect I would not like him as a mate, just something about him that rubs me up the wrong way. But hey! thats ok cause most people dont like me
