So would a basic dos attack consist of a large amount of emails sent to a website?

I'd at least want to know where the backups are and how to access them :)
I remember one hosting crowd who went under a while back who advertised 'constant backups' on their homepage only for customers to find out later to their horror that no backups were done at all lol :)

Hopefully we would never lose all of his one liners.

I take copies of the backups myself, a cron job is set up to run akeeba backup and automatically take one of the site daily, and i download the backup file.

But you have a point, i might ask them what their deal is too because they say they also take backups ofc, its better to have more than one option.
