Basically his tactic is to belittle the EU while at the same time making a load of money from it and telling people about it :)
I'd like to see something positive come from it all but I doubt it. He'd quite happily bring in martial law as evidenced on TV back when the riots happened, and riots will happen again by the way.

I know this :) I did say he wasn't perfect. :emb:
However, I would say his little outbursts have perhaps woken up a few people as to what is really going on. So he has his uses.

Just as a little footnote...Martin what's his face..Moneysaving expert chap has just been on This Morning....telling people NOT to take their money out of the banks! Quel suprise from a man who sold his website for £50+ million!
A wife of a military man out there said her husband has emptied their account. Martin said shouldn't have as they will be 'reimbursed'. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this so called 'reimbursement' going to be in the form of 'shares' in said banks, on the strength of the gas fields they have just found in the Cypriot waters? Mhm....yep...we can eat shares, and pay our bills with them! No wonder the Russians are sending a fleet of ships out to the med!

Sky news are reporting on this quite well. The people in Cyprus are starting to take to the streets. A couple said, "This is third world war from Germany".

From the Irish Times.......
The Irish government welcomed the agreement, describing it as a "positive development for Cyprus, the euro zone as a whole and Ireland".

Bah that moneysaving bloke is a git. He's finishing off a 3 mill house at boobys bay near here. Not a bad thing of itself but meet him in the lanes and he'll do his best to force you into a cornish hedge.

All of this is in your face state theft. There's no other word for it. None of us are daft enuff to think states don't do it all the time anyway but in this instance it's absolutely brazen. Only the thinnest veneer of spiel added to try and fool people.
I'd like to be positive and think that people will soon react in their millions but ain't seen much sign of it yet.

And so it spreads......

Italy has no debt crisis (with net assets at 173% of GDP) - significantly more than the Germans at 124% - "so it would make sense, in Italy a one-time property tax levy," he suggested. "A tax rate of 15% on financial assets would probably be enough to push the Italian government debt to below the critical level of 100% of gross domestic product." So there you have it, the 'new deal' in Europe, as we warned, is 'wealth taxes' and testing the "capacity of Cypriots" appears to be the strawman on what the public will take before social unrest becomes intolerable

The Italians will kick off to shit if this happens. What else could you call this other than robbery? And this is to "push the Italian government debt to below the critical level of 100% of gross domestic product".

Worlddebt3

It's never going to be paid back. I made this image on 5th March, 2013:

Worlddebt2

This is the position today on 18th March, 2013:

Worlddebt4

It's increased by $100,000,000,000 in two weeks. There is no way this is ever going to be paid back. Raise income taxes to 90%. Take 90% of people's savings. Tax people for going for a piss and breathing in and out. It's not going to make a blind bit of difference. They can impose this property tax in Italy, to "push the debt below 100% of GDP". They'll still be back for more in the future. Either that, or default on the debt, or devalue currency, or a combination of the three, or scrap the whole stupid system and start again. There are no other options.

Theres no CT here, just in your face unavoidable maths. The bigger the debt, the bigger the interest payments and ofc the more likely the interest rate will rise which feeds back into the loop.
I dunno about you guys but I'm pulling all my money I left in the bank account to pay tax with and its going in the safe at home :)
Next VAT payment is the middle of July and I have a shitload of money that belongs to the govt in there that they could just tax me on!

It needs calling ages ago but the system is bankrupt.
The lenders might get cents on their dollar but that's all.
They lent fictitious money don't be surprised when there's nowhere near enough 'real cash' to pay them back.

The game is over. Time to concentrate on looking after the poor who have become the victims and whipping boys of the perps.
Hit reset, learn a few lessons, fuck fractional reserve banking and leverage rates.

I watched a Russian official being interviewed earlier today...basically he said that, of course Cyprus should go along with what the EU says...they are members after all, but Russia will be looking to Cyprus if they incur any losses.

Cyprus are between a rock and a hard place.

It's already done for me, I keep the bare minimum in there anyway, and I actually have some respect for the bank that I bank with relatively speaking, but they can't be trusted.

It's a fucking arse pissing about with it, but they simply can't be trusted.pheony wrote:

They are in a difficult position, there's no doubt about that. I wouldn't necessarily blame the Cypriot government, but one thing I will say, though, is that telling the people that their deposits weren't going to be touched, and then freezing everyone's bank account 24 hours later was pretty duplicitous. Albeit people should never believe such promises, but people tend to.

on the 'morality' front ...

"We can't NOT pay our bills!"

uhuh, at what point did it become ok
To openly mug fuckers to pay those bills?
To ram raid their savings accounts to pay those bills?
To endanger the people you were supposed to represent in order to satisfy the greed of those who made you their bitches?

Enough!
