Also banks are institutions.
Who runs these institutions?
Whom specifically is the world in debt to?

Good question, we did in fact have a thread in here somewhere with a list of central bankers names and names of majority shareholders.
Damned if I can bloody find it now, apologies!
Can anyone else remember it?

I couldn't find it, but it's worth reading through the list here:

Just to remind yourself how corrupt the world is!

Ok, we can say the likes of Ben Bernanke and Mark Carney are the heads of the Fed and the BOE respectively, but countries aren't in debt to these guys are they? These people are waged, just like us.

So there must be other people the world is in debt to.

Who are these people?

We have the usual suspects names of Rothschild and Rockerfellas, is the world in debt to these people?

It seems that whoever they are, they want to dominate the whole worlds population, why?

Surely enough money, is enough money?

Aye, for these however many/relatively few people to be able to afford to be indebted by the world to such astronomical amounts must be doing alright for themselves and they wouldn't suffer personally if the world just said "you know what, you've got enough, we've not got enough, shove your debt".

Most rich people become Philanthropists, the huge amounts of money transposed with the images of poverty normally inspires compassion or at the very least guilt.

So, what is wrong with the people who the world is in debt to?

Why do they punish the entire population of the world?

I have often wondered this, as there is only so much you can have. But the simple reality is that they do not think like us. If they did, they wouldn't be able to live with the guilt of seeing billions of people living in immense poverty of which they very well know they are the root cause.

Exactly!

But they do and not only that, they seem to want to actually kill people, ladies and children.

Or at least have them killed, either through war or starvation.

Millions have died horrific deaths due to their actions.

It cant all be about money, surely?

I'm not sure that they actually want to kill people, I think they just view it as collateral damage. It's simply a necessity. In terms of their motivation, the way I see it is that to be a well-rounded human-being is all about balance. It's not all about achievement, or work, or leisure, or intellectual pursuits, or physical pursuits, or possessions, or any one thing, you have to have balance. This might seem like a strange example, but I see Rafa Nadal interviewed, and when he's asked about matches that he's going to play he always says words to the effect of "I'm going to try my best every point, if I win great, if I lose I'll congratulate the other player and go home, fish and spend time with my family". That's a healthy attitude. They don't have that balance, though. Somewhere down the line they have just become manic with greed, and then of course they pass these values on to their children. And their children mix with other people like them. Eventually after generations it just seems normal.

Surely enough money is enough huh? :)
Money is merely a means to an end, for the richest people in the world they understand it to be merely a tool. They understand all too well that if we wanted to we could live without money altogether but can you imagine the level of education and co-operation required to do it?

^This says it all about surely enough is enough :)

BTW, its the high st banks that have created most of the money in digital form, loans, mortgages etc.
The central banks have actually not created the larger part of it...other than in the part of loans to the high st banks not the govts and the high st banks have speculated with it...lol.

As I understand it, the high street banks cannot create any money, it all has to be created from the central banks.

The world is now $2,435,089,292,305 further in debt than when this thread begun. That’s two-trillion, four-hundred and thirty-five billion, eighty-nine million, two-hundred and ninety-two thousand, three-hundred and five.

This is more than the GDP of the UK. There are only five nations on the planet whose GDP is greater than this figure.

Bear in mind, this is just the amount that global government debt has increased in ten months. There are many other sources of debt that this doesn’t account for.

Nevertheless, we’re in the middle of an ‘economic recovery’, so that’s good news.

No.
They practise fractional reserve banking. They can loan out far more than they have on deposit. This is why banks go bust if people withdraw deposits.
In the UK the FR limit is actually infinite...some other countries are the same now.
