Ummm you're deciding to attribute a global crisis to a currency that only exists within the EU.
There's simple and then there's stupid tbh. This so called crisis began in the US, have you forgotten already? :)

It's not been a fully realized idea but in terms of human evolution it's a very progressive idea.

Its just moving a govts map to cover a larger area.
Its still the same sort of govt. Same pillocks, even less democracy if anything.

The only plus that can be said for it is the ease of travel and trade, thats it. Nothing else.

The negatives are a much longer list.

Now if Switzerland were to do the same thing with THEIR style of govt I just might be interested....

Answers in plain English please, Andyh that means you too :)

You have 2 choices, invest in somewhere to live in the UK or perhaps something useful like a motor camper van or you move out of the uk permenantly, 50k would get you into oz as they require a 10k deposit iirc

Btw once Spain goes this would make my DIF prediction thread complete apart from the digital money bit

So jhado whats going on here then?

That'll be leftovers from the divorce , £50,000 but no home, and I don't wanna spunk it all on renting somewhere.

Aharr, well australia would be what I would do.
10k deposit (or more) in australia gets you a visa unless its changed recently.
You can certainly manage a more self reliant lifestyle there with that kind of dosh, the UK is like a bloody vacuum cleaner for money IMHO.

Your money is also probably far safer in aussie dollars than sterling too...or euro or us dollars lol.

Firstly, existing homeowners.

These were the median house prices across Australia’s five biggest cities rounded to the nearest grand……

Sydney: $577,000
Melbourne: $492,000
Perth: $475,000
Brisbane: $452,000
Adelaide: $379,000

Its pretty much similar across a lot of english speaking countries, especially in built up areas.
What you're looking for first and foremost is can you live there? Eg do they speak english? Do they have similar rules of law and govt etc?
Do they have similar culture? Can you get a job there realistically and keep it?

Those are far more important things to look at when moving than house prices.

After all, with the 40k you'd expect to be able to buy a motorhome and have plenty of change for living on until getting a job IMHO.

You compare that to your prospects where you are currently and weigh up the pros and cons. Each individual situation is different and obviously most weighted by family and people who are reliant on you.

Animals have always been regarded in Buddhist thought as sentient beings, different in their intellectual ability than humans but no less capable of feeling suffering...In cosmological terms, the animals were believed to inhabit a distinct "world", separated from humans not by space but by state of mind. This world was called Tiryagyoni in Sanskrit, Tiracchānayoni in Pāli. Rebirth as an animal was considered to be one of the unhappy rebirths, usually involving more than human suffering..The karmic acts of killing animals will have bad results for all of us... Buddhist commentarial texts depict many sufferings associated with the animal world: even where no human beings are present, they are attacked and eaten by other animals or live in fear of it, they endure extreme changes of environment throughout the year, and they have no security of habitation. Those that live among humans are often slaughtered for their bodies, or taken and forced to work with many beatings until they are slaughtered at the end of their lives. On top of this, they suffer from ignorance, not knowing or understanding with any clarity what is happening to them and unable to do much about it, acting primarily on instinct...

Yeah buddhism as a religion is one of the best out there.
Still, even then there are some buddhist monks who approve of violence and killing people.

Its a shame but c'est la vie. Religion remains fucked up.

Elliot Carver: Outstanding!
