One thing which for me makes being without smokes easier, is to be somewhere without direct possibility to get more ciggies... In my case, my families summer cottage. It's quite in middle of nowhere, nearest shop is 20km away... When I know I just can't walk to a kiosk and buy a pack it makes it easier to be without...

week 6 of stopping smoking....done it with the nicotinelle step 1, 24hr patches which took the craving off, and then i rolled some Mullein Leaf to smoke instead (which clears your lungs of the shite built up in there)

week by week didnt roll as many mullein leaf tabs, and i was going a cpl days before "remembering" to take the patch off
now dont wear a patch and hardly smoke at all.

gunna stick with the mullein leaf and mix with some white sage leaf and hemp leaf for the ultimate roll up experience like

As far as I know, the patches are more expensive than smoking... and you can always get cigarettes off the Native's that make 'em out of pure tobacco and no chemical ad-ins, they can even roll it up in a tobacco leaf too if you're worried about the chemicals that could be found in the paper being used. A bit healthier that way, no man-made chemicals in your lungs. Maybe start with those so you don't have the addiction to chemicals any longer, than start cutting down a bit as you go until your at 1 a day for a while, then just stop.

I've found that E Cigs are the best, make's it real easy to give up the fags.

You can get the juice with different strength's of nicotine as well as nicotine free one's, heaps of different flavor's too.

The beauty with E Cig's is that you still get that draw in hit which mimics the feeling you get from sucking on a smoke.

Oh yeah, and it's cheap too.

Thanks for the idea boots. I had heard very little on E Cig's other than that they existed. Will have to check into them myself.

Hmm, I'm now month and two weeks in without ciggies... Not a single one! I'm quite proud of myself, when I decided to try and quit, I thought I couldn't manage, but here I am, clean.

I still need to mention, I have smoked homegrown tobacco during the time... Twice, but that doesn't count. It still seems that homegrown 'baccy DOE NOT have some of the addictive ingredients, that commercial stuff has... I'm quite sure I'd get hooked quite easily if I gave in... But that does not to seem to happn with real tobacco.

I'd never heard of them either until my daughter put me onto them, she almost insisted I get one because she had such great success with kicking the habit.

I'm also surprised...well not really... that the stop smoking campaigns haven't cotton on to them, big tabbaco would lose heaps of money in a big hurry.
