Weed is no worse than drink. In fact drink kills a hell of a lot more.

using drugs is great, unless they are your crutch. you can put a band aid on a bullet wound but it only covers it up.
my limbless friend will die alone
a torso of flesh upon the throne

Violence is not the answer, it is the question. the answer is yes.

I personally through choice don't smoke weed, and try not to injest anything that melts at my conscious awareness. Drugs are no more wrong than any addiction I smoke tobacco due to being addicted, most people would find their modern conveniences an addiction. There are so many i don't want to bore, but it ranges from foods, to drinks to internet, relationships etc etc.
What i see as the traps is our allowing or succumbing to addictions. Do we actually even need to eat or does this take energy from our consciously aware selves that lie within and without of most of our beings.

That comment's interesting MrsGood. People who practice some forms of meditation / divination and magical rituals make a point of fasting for a while beforehand, and the way to ground yourself afterwards is to eat something.

Anyways, I personally have nothing against the use of drugs & drink for recreational use, in moderation, but just really wanted to focus on things that have less potential (if relied on excessively) to be as damaging as the thing that's caused the state of anxiety in the first place, if that makes sense.

Sometimes your mind is the source of the stress... you can't count on it to do the right thing unless you shut it up and block it out.

When this happens I usually have an early night and cry myself to sleep. :emb: It does work though.

Everything seems better after a good night's sleep and crying releases endorphins. It's good to let it out. :)

Actually, this is how I usually deal with all stress.

Does it? I never knew that. I never cry unless I absolutely can't stop myself, 'cause it gives me a bad headache that lasts for about 4 days, like a hangover.

Thee snotty nose isn't cool Gilly, but crying releases endorphins like laughing does. I always have a good cry when I feel like it, it doesn't matter if anyone thinks I'm a soft git. :chuckle:

I wouldn't say it's wrong, it's easier.

Surprised nobodies mentioned sex yet, Wilhelm Reich's worth a read he wrote a lot about the importance of Orgasms in maintaining bodily and psychological health.

What Dubs dear said...although if there is no wind, let this be a warning people not to "almost" fall out the window, although it does in a fit of laughter it's not worth the possible bump on the head.

^ *nods* yeah, you do feel a little more invisible when you cover your head up.
Excuse: Keep head warm
Real Reason: Cloak of invisibility.
