I can highly recommend this diet! As a nutritionist I always recommend it for all sorts of digestive, insomnia, loss of energy and yes the proverbial weight loss. Sir John Mils ate this way most of his life as does Bruce Forsyth.....just to give recognisable examples.

Quatermass (John Mills), now living in retirement in Scotland, travels to London in search of his granddaughter, Hettie Carlson , who has gone missing. He is shocked by the scale of the urban collapse that has struck the city – law and order has broken down and marauding gangs terrorise the litter strewn, decaying streets...

Back on topic......
But at the end of 1940 a duodenal ulcer (subsequently cured by adherence to the diet recommended by William Howard Hay in Healthy via Food) resulted in his being classified as unfit for active service. Thus he was free to appear in In Which We Serve.

It's about discovering foods that you're sensitive to, which apart from boosting your weight gain, can have lots of other nasty side effects too - typically depression, fatigue & migraines (but there can be lots of other symptoms too). The premise is that the foods that trigger these reactions will vary from one person to the next, and if you learn what they are & eliminate them from your diet, you will lose weight without restricting the fat or calories you eat, and feel a lot healthier for it.

Where's Mrs Pumpshaft?

Been doing this diet - eating lamb, white fish, turkey, duck & venison, roasted or fried in olive oil, with plenty of lentils, veg, fruit & nuts. I'd guess I've consumed 2,000 - 3,000 calories a day, and never felt hungry and so far lost 7lb's. in 5 days.

After a week, you start introducing 3 different foods a day & checking your weight more frequently to deduce which ones you're sensitive to.

Good programme though ... :)

In physics, mass (from Greek μᾶζα "barley cake, lump (of dough)") refers to the quantity of matter in an object...

Always Lightly toast your bread ...I think that is mentioned in the book... ;)

eat fruit and nuts and boiled eggs , drink only water and coffee, and exercise walk a lot till you break a good sweat and heart rate is way up.

then fight the hungry feeling, and if you have to just sleep to not crave a meat fix

Boil a couple peels on the stove with other strong, Christmas-y scents like cloves and a cinnamon stick, for instant home fragrance...

Shrewd move! Nobody needs Ent pouncing out of the shrubbery at them unexpectedly!

The Young Ones clip, accompanied by the Christmasy aroma tip made me think of an episode where Rick made Xmas dinner and announced that he didn't have the right ingredients for brandy butter so he'd prepared some vodka margarine to serve with the pudding. :teef:

i started one of those 2 day fast things a few weeks ago - 2 days per week just water and the others getting in as much fresh fruit and vegetables as possible - have not lost a single pound!! but on the plus side my skin is looking better and my blood tests are showing an improvement. Next up is regular swimming again and then giving up smoking which is a tad tough atm as the greenery around these parts is the best I have seen for years... which might explain why no pounds lost yet :spliff:
Sometimes, if you stand on the bottom rail of a bridge and lean over to watch the river slipping slowly away beneath you, you will suddenly know everything there is to be known.

Yea sometimes if I fast for a day it just makes me eat more the next day.

I quit smoking weed for the last few weeks but i felt more stress and no energy increase...tbh

I got some nice greenery yesterday and now i feel a little more at ease.

But i'm only going to take a few puffs each day.

I think the fasting lowers your metabolic rate, Thoreau. But it's supposed to help with having profound meditative experiences I've heard.

Moon diets related to the current lunar phase to lose weight and to purify the body...

Centuries ago people associate the Moon with magic, space, romance and cyclic patterns. It is scientifically proven, when the Moon enters into a new lunar phase, a change occurs in the geomagnetic field of the Earth.

The Moon affects tides, the growth of plants, the breeding of the animals, and strongly effects the emotional and physical state of humans. Not surprisingly, at Full Moon most of us feel special. Some people become more active, other feel depressed, and some full with new ideas, or get to work.

Specialists told, that the easiest and most effective way to maintain normal weight is the Moon diet.

The Lunar diet at Full Moon and New Moon, the 24 hours Moon diet, or the Three-day Moon diet, each of these diets related to the lunar calendar, could help to regulate and maintain your normal weight or to clean your body.
