How about a story written by the Sanctum Zone community?
I don't know whether this is practical or even interests forum members but i thought you are all creative people with ideas and it might be a nice change?
My grammar is pretty crap so if i am willing to embarrass myself

A paragraph or two i dunno?

What kind of story are we talking?

I'm sure if everyone got to play off what another person wrote it might be of some fun to the members...but I fear it would turn into a very long, drawn out comic.

Yeah it could end quite messy if characters are introduced and people forgot about them i guess?
It would mean people would have to keep up with the story and read it all from the start if it began.

Once upon a time there was a forum run by an evil despot who would do anything for a vindaloo. He ruled his domain with a rod of iron, banishing any of his subjects who dared to speak out against his tyranny, ruthlessly crushing any dissent. This went on for a long long time.

But then one day....

*next*

.....the seed of revolution was sown. A secret letter was found to have been opened, there were whispers in the gallery, mutterings amongst the court viziers....

The mood of the place seemed to match that of the weather, it was becoming more and more grey, there seemed to be a storm front closing in on the area and the locals desperately appealed to the authorities "we need flood barriers in place or the sewers will burst and we'll all be swimming in shit..."

... then along came psketti

Dressed as Carmen Miranda, in a dress made from flip-flops....

Made by our resident apprentice and a giant boot for a hat.

Even whilst attempting to avoid looking at the boot on Psketti's head, Oioioi was unaware of the special modification of the sauna that allowed the evil despot, who would do any­thing for a vin­daloo, the opportunity to spy upon the goings on in the sauna. All oblivious, Oioioi and Psketti started to ...

Unravel a wire that was attached to the outside of the sauna,which oioioi had noticed when he walked up to the wooden building earlier.They both jumped back with surprise when the noticed the wire attached to a small camera with a micro phone built in.
Psketti looked closer at the camera a shouted "damn that evil man,he's spying on the communal sauna i just made at sanctum zone headquarters".
oioioi gave out a big sigh and retorted "WHAT A PLUM" loud enough for half the street to hear.After throwing the boot back into the sauna and slamming the door psketti quickly looked over to her greenhouse she had in fact been growing some amazing juicy plum's but suddenly realised that oioioi was talking about her evil nemesis.......

Realising that something would have to be done about the situation, Psketti decided upon a course of action. She covered the camera and mimed to Oioioi them walking away while she placed a finger over her pursed lips and winked.

Of course, the wink intrigued Oioioi, so he followed Psketti over to her greenhouse.

Once there, Psketti whispered quietly, "Now that we are away from that microphone and camera, I'll tell you about a plan of action that I've decided upon."

Oioioi said, "Alrighty then, this should be good, but do you mind if I have one of these amazingly juicy plums while I listen?"

Psketti sighed, rolled her eyes, and nodded in agreement, then said ...

"Jings, crivens, and help ma boab......

......it's the Whigmaleerie...RUN!! "

oioioi laughed as he knew that every time psketti felt under pressure she had a mild attack of tourette's and this was one of those times.
oioioi remembered how him and psketti had been in the final of university challenge when they studied at st cuthberts university.
Oioio recalled how when the presenter of the show jeremy paxman had asked psketti who composed peter and the wolf and she shouted "ball bag breath" at the top of her voice due to feeling under pressure.
Needless to say their team was escorted out of the studio that day and disqualified from university challenge forever which oioioi had always felt a slight annoyance towards psketti as oioioi knew he could have answered the question correctly.

Back in the garden the pair headed back towards the house.....
