I've had the strangest night & have got up feeling that everything's off kilter.
The dogs go through spells of getting me up in the night to let them out for a pee sometimes. So the Friday they had me up at around 4am, then yesterday it was 5am or 5.30am, and I didn't go back to bed 'cause of all the snoring going on up there. Then last night they got me up at around - I dunno - 3.15am. So I'm a bit over-tired.
Well th'usband had asked me to get him up to go to work today, so when I woke up and looked at the clock, I'd have sworn on my life it was 8.30am, and I hassled him into getting up.
I decided that for once I'd have a lie in till 9am - went to sleep and had a weird nightmare, which felt like it went on for hours and hours. But when I woke up, it was 8.30am. This confused me, but I was determined to stay in bed till 9am.
So I let myself go back to sleep, and had another weird & wonderul dream. It seemed long & convoluted - I was being pursued by sinister salespeople who had franchises in some food enterprise that made burgers out of eyeballs. Because my husband is soft, he gave one of these people my contact details when they asked for them, instead of telling them to get lost, as I had been doing. And he signed something, and in the small-print was a clause that I was legally obliged to go & live on an island they owned. He did too. But they let him come & go, whereas I was obliged to go back to school to be 're-educated'. Even in the dream, I was too tired to get up to go to school on the first day that I was supposed to, and refused to get out of bed.The next thing I knew, there were snipers round the place, stalking me, which I sensed was because of my defiance of their rules. So anyway I was evading them, and dodging round this island, where everyone was odd, & this went on for some time, during which, my main cause of anxiety was that I couldn't think straight because I felt like I was drugged up.
Then when this dark figure with a rife had me cornered, I woke up.
And it was 8.30am.
I shut my eyes for a few minutes, then my son came in for a chat & a cuddle, and after a bit, he asked me the time, and when I looked, I told him I didn't know, because my clock must be broken, as it still said 8.30am. He went and made me some coffee, and when he brought it up, he said my clock was right, as the clocks downstairs also said it was 8.30am. While drinking my brew, I noted that my clock was infact working fine.
