I enjoyed a small piece of graffiti yesterday - nowt daft, just a few words written on the building structure that now surrounds the former Nobles Amusements in town...

It's all kicking off again:

Obviously these people haven't seen what's actually on TV yet.

It's a natural outcome of living in a completely consumerist-focused, decadent society. Many people still understand the importance of looking out for others, but in such an atomised culture you will get your fair share of people such as those in the video.

:O Flipping heck! Not much decorum being exercised there, was there!

I've witnessed it first hand, when managing an electrical shop that closed down. The place was just packed to the ginnels, and folk were taking advantage by pushing through the throng, dragging stuff off shelves & trying to walk straight out with it.

I had to shut the door, and only allow people in as others were leaving. There was a queue right down the high street, and all the other shop-keepers were complaining.

It was bedlam (especially when I trapped a bloke's hand in the door, and because of the noise & argy-bargy, it took me ages to realise what he was gesticulating at with his free hand :D ) - but yet not as frenzied as that scene in the vid.

I can't even be mithered taking advantage of the January sales because of the kerfuffle & atmosphere of hysteria.

I have avoided doing my food shop on a Saturday until much later in the day. But for the last 3 weeks I avoid the shops altogether on a Saturday at this time of year.....the rugby is a good excuse! I go last thing on a Sunday or even at the beginning of the week till after Christmas.

Feeling very pissed off at working full-time yet only having less than fifty quid a week to live on once all my bills are paid. And even that's only due to our benevolent government and their "hand-outs". If my bicycle (which I am paying for in instalments) falters, I'd only have thirty-five quid a week. I'm so very pleased all those years in education weren't wasted.

Seriously...why the fuck do I keep getting up in the morning?

Cheers dudes...I know I sound like a whiney bitch and things could be a lot worse (and no doubt will get a lot worse), but sometimes enough just feels like enough. Know what I mean?

But thanks for caring

They were NOT pink. They were red with white detailing. Philistine. :coffee:
